I like the comment about him taking on challenges. Frustration is one of the great motivators for improving. Find the guy who is kicking your ass, and then play him again and again until you figure out how to not get your ass kicked. That frustration keeps you coming back for more despite losing.

Indeed, and I feel like if you want to be the best, this is the mentality you have to have! It's easy going for the worse defender and scoring 30, but if you keep doing that, come play-off time, the other team will adjust and throw more stuff at you. If you've gotten used to fighting against worse defenses, you'll have problems, whilst if you do what Luka does, constantly challenge yourself, you'll also constantly improve, and be able to figure out whatever the opposing team throws at you

Im Slovenian myself, and a Mavs fans on top (naturally lol), and I think Luka's 3-point shooting ability is actually a bit overrated, I think people give him more credit than he's due, he's a CLUTCH 3-point shooter for sure, but he's only a 35% 3-point shooter overall, WHICH IS THE NBA LEAGUE AVERAGE MIND YOU! Can we please talk about how mavs have lost the rebounding battle 11 of last 13 games? We brought in McGee and wood to fix this issue but McGee doesn’t play at all. Not winning playoff games with Powell, Kleber guarding the other team’s starting center. These losses come down to 1-3 possessions and we get outrebounded every game. “Mavs don’t play defense.” A defensive stop is dependent on the getting the rebound. We play solid D then give up rebounds. Every game. Our tallest player doesn’t even play? Why did we bring him in in the off-season then??
