I got this bike in blue and it is the best, most reliable e-bike I have ever owned. I bought it last March and I've already put 1500 miles on it. FYI, I have also tested its top speed and it's right in line with Kyle's findings. I just turned 80 and my top speed in Sacramento, on a flat road, while pedaling, was 41 mph according to my display. Without pedaling, I reached 36 mph. I would add that if you keep the knobbies on your bike, I would advise that you get tire liners. Knobbies are soft and seem to attract glass, nails, and thorns. I had five flats in the first week. I put in tire liners and I have had zip flats. This really is a great bike and Kyle is an honorable guy. You can trust this guy. He's the Bernie Sanders of bike guys.

My single speed Sun Trike does 30 MPH. Fast for me! I get around 50 miles on 20 Amp Hour, 48 volt battery. Charge time 4 hours. I'm a crip and couldn't afford something like this, plus I needed a3 wheeler. Had to build my own. FREEDOM! At last!

One thing to add, you'll still pick up punctures, and on an ebike this can be a chore . The product 'Green Slime' is a self sealing compound you can put in your inner tubes. Also I would also invest in puncture proof tires

Good info and a beautiful bike. 1 small suggestion: a lot of people want to know - how fast will an e-bike go at maximum assist on highest gear - how fast you than have to peddle? If I didn't live in a very flat area, I would definitely purchase one. Hydraulic disc brakes are a must for me on high powered e-bikes and the fact that this is a fat tire makes it even more so. That is a great price for that motor/battery combination with all the accoutrements you include. With my flat terrain, I will stick with the DD rear hub and not have to worry about chains breaking or slipping off (happened to me a couple times on transitions from the bike path through an intersection, and all I had to do was hold the crank to keep the chain from dragging and reinstall when I got to my destination).

On slight downhill grades, with pedaling, my currently stock Mini 4 did 35mph this morning. But by the time I reached that speed, it had governed the motor and only pedaling was responsible. Throttle only on the same down hill gets 28mph. But I've already ordered your 35a ctlr to help with the never ending hills here and will bump up to the 750 (or 1000, if I feel like lacing) by summer. Don't need 1000 at all, but think it would be pretty funny on a Mini. Plus I won't tell my buddy. He'll never be able to keep up and won't know why.

Great video! I am considering the Trek Allant+ 7S or 8S but they are pricey. I really like the suspension fork, high power and speed for your bike. I have some questions for you that I did not see answers for on your website: Where is the aluminum frame made? China, Taiwan, where? What is the water resistance of the electronics? How much assembly is required? I live in NY and would need it shipped. What is the weight of the battery by itself? I ask because my bike rack on my hitch maxes out at 60lbs and I noticed the total bike weight is 70lbs. Do you offer suspension seat posts for a 280lb rider? Can you install tubes in the tires to offer more puncture protection? How do I balance the lipo battery for longer life? Do you include a battery charger, and how many amps is it? And are there plugs for the electronics to keep moisture out if I transport the bike without the battery on the frame? What size are the brake disc rotors? Lastly, do you offer any customer service after the sale? I would like to avoid a LUNA situation where I would need to go on the forums for my answers all the time. I know you make a folding step-thru fat tire bike, but would you be considering a Bolton non-folding ebike to compete with the new RadRover Step-Thru 1? I am seriously thinking getting one adding your converter upgrade. However, if you had one in the works, I might be inclined to hold off. Have you ever reviewed a Juiced brand ebike? I haven't come across one in your videos so far. They offer a number of pretty interesting bikes that I had included in my list of potentials for when I finally decide to buy: 1) The Juiced RipCurrent S (fat tire) 2) Juiced CrossCurrent S2 for example. Appears that all their bikes come with Bafang motors and 52V batteries. They appear to be well made and I would love to get your opinion on these and how they stack up against "comparable" Bolton Bikes and maybe the RadRover as well.

Great bike, I'm building one that has a 1000W rear hub motor with 52V 13ah battery $285.00, I'm not quite done with it yet, still waiting on the cable kit and shifters, I'm using thumb shifters, because my handlebars are small and I ran out of room, I have a headlight that runs off its own battery and turn signals and brake lights. I spent $200.00 on the bike frame and $195.32 on the hub motor counting everything, I'll be close to your price before all is said and done, but I will have built it from the ground floor. Not bad for my first ebike I think. I'm just one of those guys, that when I'm getting into something new, I want to know as much about it as I can and want to be able to fix it myself, should something go wrong. What better way than to build it yourself. But, I watched a ton of DIY build videos along the way, before I began the build. If interest I'll send some pics when it's done. I really like that class 4 sticker, I'm definitely going to order one. :)

In the uk we are only allowed a 250w motor and a top speed of 15 mph so none of that matters unless you want it for off road . IF I want speed I will ride my motorcycle but I must say I love my ebike fiido d2s cheap from China but really well built.
