Not putting the command seat in S-Tier Is a Crime. It is incredibly lightweight and it is way lighter to just put all your kerbals in seats in a service bay and put batteries and rcs on there

Dont sleep on the remote guidance units man, they have all the SAS modes and can be used to build really tiny probes that are fully circular while the okto2 is octagonal

I think I was a bit too harsh on the remote guidance units, you are right. I have used them to make boosters that land similar to falcon 9 thanks to those units.

The OKTO and HECS are really good in early career/science to give your scientists SAS capability before you unlock the OKTO2

That's fair, when I made the video I hadn't really played much with the early unmanned modules so my perspective about them wasn't well informed.

What do you mean stayputnik isn’t a garbage probe core? It doesn’t even have SAS! The only reason you’d make use of the stayputnik’s decent thermal tolerance in the early game is when you put it on top of your pod, replacing the mk16 parachute which is vital for safe landings, so its benefit is wholly moot until you get radial chutes, but at that time you’ll also have superior cores. The fact of the matter is, probe cores are meant to be tucked safe in a service bay with all the other vulnerable and unaerodynamic parts. The QBE is cheaper than the stayputnik, the OCTO is actually usable thanks to doing the bare minimum of having stability assist and little reaction wheels, and HECS is the same but every factor raised a step. At least you got the OCTO2 & HECS2 spots right, but style alone is hardly the reason why the latter should be in S; it’s because it’s got 1000 power, good reaction wheels, and maneuver/target hold. While I could go on criticizing your tierlist, I’ll end my rant wishing you’d at least put the pomegranate command pod in C tier with similar sized pods that, while being more flexible with attachment points, can hold just as many kerbals as the mk3 pod, which is much bigger. Also, it seems you left out a few command modules, like the moho cores that hold either Liq+Ox or Xenon, the hitchhikers storage pod, and the science lab.

Don’t sleep on the pomegranate especially, While not having RCS or SAS. It carries 3 Kerbels in a small space, Making for much cheaper and practical LKO vehicles. Doesn’t require any heat shield,Plus it’s unlocked early in the tech tree, The two seater one is easily the first multi crew capsule you get.

Aren't the three soyuz-inspired capsules like really draggy unless you have an aeroshell? I tried once in career and I didnt have shells unlocked yet and my rockets were really slow in the atmosphere idk

the soyuz command pods certainly arent the greatest, however they are very efficient, they have a built in decoupler and built in heat shielding. all being lighter than if you put a decoupler, heat shield and command pod together.

But they lack SAS modules and have bad aerodynamics without being protected by an aeroshell for the ascent, I think they are not that OP but still a balanced alternative to the mk.1 capsule

I think that C tier was a bit harsh, maybe a B minus would be fair. It's useful, compact and detailed but doesn't have much to offer compared to the mk.2 and mk.3 modules which are improved versions of it.

@@casualology. Yeah I agree its actually versatile, average in multiple roles but the master of none and also iconic. A tier would feel extreme to me though, B tier feels more fair because there are other larger modules that can do the same although less iconic like the mk.2 pod
