Most of those are justifiable. Tomatoes pretty normal but I do remember hating it as a child. I suppose the last one could vary but it's too general(and true in Link's case). Kibbles I place above pork blood, insects, and animal organs that aren't usually consumed. I ate pork blood as a child, didn't hate it but it was more of a "tolerable" thing.

Dog food advisor is NOT recommended among MOST veterinary professionals. Dog food advisor is run by a dentist with no training in animal nutrition. He has one class in human nutrition. Most of the foods that he rates highly are implicated in causing a deadly heart disease in dogs. I would ignore whatever he says and take your information somewhere else. His focus on ingredients instead of NUTRIENTS is not a scientific approach on evaluating dog food. I do think he means well - but his understanding of nutrition is deeply flawed. Even his emphasis on recalls is skewed, because a reputable company may voluntarily recall for a very minor non-dangerous problem because of the commitment to quality. But the way he thinks - a recall is a recall is a recall and that's simply not true. Always, always, always When evaluating a source of information look at the training and credentials of the people providing it You'll note that dogfoodadvisor tells us about his background and that he has a veterinarian advising him but nowhere is that Veterinarian's name or that veterinarian's credentials listed. This should send up huge red flags. Please speak with your regular veterinarian or seek out a veterinary nutritionist if you want to discuss pet food further, don't use dogfoodadvisor! Edit: also, grain free diets containing chickpeas or lentils are under fire due to the ASSOCIATION (NOT CAUSATION! THERE ARE STILL STUDIES BEING DONE) with dilated cardiomyopathy. There is nothing wrong with grains being in a dog's diet, the veterinary profession has realized this fad would die out eventually, the only dogs that NEED to be on grain-free are those that are allergic to grain; even then there are specialize veterinary prescription diets that pets can be put on.

In a nutshell, leave the important decisions to those with the educated background to make them! It always kills me whenever someone receives professional advice from someone who went to school for years, and turns around and act like they can't be right, despite knowing nothing, themselves. Obviously, even professionals can be wrong from time to time, mistakes happen, but the chances of that are much lower than if left to uneducated people.

Switching a dogs food quickly isn't good for them. If you're switching from one brand to another mixing in some of the old brand into the new brand is preferable to make it the easiest transition for their stomach.
