Yes Native Americans modified it outside in nature, not in a lab. A great deal of what we eat is by definition genetically modified, but most of those products were done through hybridization which is not in the lab which is currently what is done with modern “GMO’s“, this along with unnatural compounds added to the DNA sequence of these organisms are the problems; the very fact that they are genetically modified is irrelevant. There is a legitimate difference between what goes on in the lab with modern genetically modified organisms versus what went on in the past with hybridization, and even still goes on today.

The thing with Orville is he has significantly more of those partial kernels hidden within the popped popcorn that subsequently get stuck in your teeth than Jolly Time. Even though Orville tastes better, the lower quotient of partial kernels fragments makes Jolly Time more worth it imo

I appreciate Rhett bringing up corn not being a GMO The fact is that all modern crops is a GMO, there is no such thing as a non-GMO food product as throughout human history we have cross-bread plants and changed their genetics over thousands of years to increase yield.
