Hi, this is a great and informative video. I am looking to paint my skirting and doors using satin white paint, but I am looking for a recommendation. You mentioned a plastic or enamel finish. Which would you recommend for longevity and avoid discolouration. And if you have suggestions for paints and manufacturers, that would be appreciated too. Thanks 👍

You can definitely use satin white paint. For longevity, gloss would be the way forward but this does tend to discolour over time.

Water based is best for avoiding yellowing!

as long as it isn't water based paint oil based eggshell for walls and cellings and gloss or satin for woodwork etc

@@1988rixy yes oil based was a traditional wall and ceiling paint along with oil based matt it died out for this used about 20 years ago but I still it for walls and ceilings sometimes

@@jackwardley3626 I can’t imagine anything worse to use. I don’t even like using oil based paint on interior woodwork now, oil based I only use on exterior nowadays.

It's generally personal preference - we don't see why not!
