My dad tells me that the Grilla Grill is the best investment I've ever made! I agree it is. I love this pellet grill and I even bake the best cookies, cakes and breads. It enhances the flavor of everything you put on greatly. It makes the best ribs, steaks, roasts, beef jerky, and pizza! I researched pellet grills for well over 2 years and I stumbled upon Grilla Grills and I'm very happy I bought the Original Grilla. I use him almost every day! Helps keep the kitchen clean too! Everything Mark and Shane say's here is 100% true! Great company and great guys!

Hey guys, I’m definitely buying one of your pellet grills this season. My question is which one is more efficient as far as pellet usage? I have a family of 4, either one is more than big enough. I am leaning towards the grilla due to the smaller footprint.
@GrillaGrills6 жыл бұрын
Both are very efficient because of the double wall insulation. That being said, the Grilla is more efficient due to the shape.
@GrillaGrills6 жыл бұрын
Hi Bill, we can't wait for you to join the Jungle! Both grills work the same as far as pellets efficiency. It varies slightly depending on how hot and how long you're cooking, but typically it's going to burn about a pound of pellets per hour.

I find that if you want something like WiFi or Bluetooth for monitoring temp get something like an iGrill. It is cheaper than what you would pay for something dedicated and built-in. Plus you can use it with your smoker, your oven, or anywhere you want to remotely watch temp. No need to add it to the Grilla products.

Great video, very informative. The only reason that I would try and do some sort of wifi would be during the winter months. Reading the probe is challenging when you are cooking and it's 0 degrees! Any thoughts on creating a dedicated sear box attachment? Somewhat similar to the Camp Chef Sear Box which can hit about 850-900F for a solid reverse Sear say on a nice big cowboy ribeye? I know you guys would do it right!
@GrillaGrills6 жыл бұрын
We would only do it if we could get the price right and the quality right. For the price of a sear box, you could buy a gasser or two to get the traditional sear you are looking for. We love using grill grates or a cast iron pan.

The Grilla costs more to make because of the patented design. It's a bit more efficient on pellets and produces a bit more smoke because of the circular shape. There is a pellet dump feature in the back also. Let us know if you have any more questions!

Why not run the double wall up the back and top where the heat is going?
@GrillaGrills6 жыл бұрын
With the fire being directly below, it radiates a lot heat directly on the bottom sides of the barrel. That's where you need double wall insulation. The majority of the heat loss would occur there if we didn't have double wall insulation. We could put it on the top, but you would lose a lot of cooking area. We felt we found a good balance between efficiency, cost and size. Let us know if you have any other questions!

So your Silverback has just under 800 square inches of cooking surface while the Pit Boss Austin XL has over 1,000 square inches. Yet yours is $749 while the Pit Boss is $540 but yours is still the best "for the money"? I beg to differ. That Pit Boss grill weighs 250 pounds. It is NOT cheap construction. But of course you're gonna say your grill is the best for the money.
@cmduke19725 жыл бұрын
From what I've read the Austin XL isn't exactly 1000 square inches of cooking surface that will actually be fully used. The lower rack is 650 square inches; the upper (warming) rack is 300.... I rarely use the upper rack for anything, and I certainly don't consider it "cooking surface."

Not even close to the truth. A Camp Chef only has to be vacuumed out every 6-8 bags of pellets if the cup is being emptied. This is why no other grill can compare in my experience. Didn't see anything about the burn box and the other portions including the electronics, cleaning, and switch over. Just no solid information on why yours is better or what's the best pellet smoker. I'll keep my Green Mountian Grill Daniel Boone SS with WiFi, looks like it blows yours out of the water! Cost, your silverback is $699, I paid $799 and get a PID controler with WiFi. I use the WiFi on every cook, and I love it saves all my cooking schedules with 1 degree intervals plus my burn box gets blown out when I shut down. No comparison IMHO. Weight, your appears heavier but take all that steel off the bottom and I bet my GMG is heavier.
@AmmoMaster6 жыл бұрын
I had high hopes this smoker was reasonably priced, the Silverbac is priced within $100 of the Camp Chief with sear grill, blue tooth, etc.. ? This Silverbac needs to be in the high $400 or low $500 to make it a deal, it appears well made and the Champ Chief does too. Your pricing is too much for a basic no frill smoker, the auger looks as cheaply made as all the others, I see nothing to command such a high price,

I see a lot of grills that are just cheap copycats made in China. When a product has to be shipped from overseas after having the raw materials shipped there to make them, it is a big waste of money. In addition to being bad for the environment. I still have a 2 burner with 1 side burner, Sunbeam windowed gas grill with lava rock and some ceramic briquettes. It was made in 92 and is cast aluminum. I take care of it. In comparison most all grills today have no thermal mass that you could actually shut the fuel off to finish cooking from the residual heat. I find this to be true with pellet grills. I believe that makes them inefficient. If I did get a pellet grill. I would likely be inclined to make an area in it that would allow use of charcoal for higher heat if desired. I might also use an additional smoke box in the cook chamber for better smoke flavor, or use my reliable Little Chief first and then finish slow roasting in the grill. I think pellet grills are still lacking and not made to be versatile. Maybe one day they will.
