I started my company with a 500 gr Mill City. I looked around and read up on a lot of roasters, but Mill City was the only company I found where I called up and the owner answered the phone and addressed my questions. A year later I bought a 3 kg. Recently I had two small parts that stopped working (at different times) - a solenoid and a capacitor. Someone answered my emails and called me and parts were sent out to me that day. Once the parts arrived, when I had a question on installation, I called and received instructions and my roaster was back up and running immediately. The customer service is second to none. Now as my business grows, I am considering what I may need to upgrade to. When I'm ready for a serious discussion, I know that I can call and Steve or Nick will take the time to discuss with me my best option. My next goal is to make it up to the posh and lavish digs of Mill City Roasters to meet everyone and enjoy learning something new.

Reasons why we decided to go the Mill City Route #1) quality insurance, yes these babies are made in China ( so is my $5,000 American brand carbon fiber Mt Bike ) but as long as quality control is here in the states with company reputation at stake I say no problem. #2 features ( aka bells & whistles ) I get more control to really dial in my profile, I'm not at the mercy of anything but my hands & senses #3) Mill City staff, Steve, Joe, Derek, Lauren, Adrienne...amazing people ready to talk. #4) Class time & education, My wife & I ( Quail St. Coffee Roasters ) have been set up for success & we have all **Repeat "ALL"** the necessary tools needed to move forward with confidence, now its up to us! I got to roast on both the 500g & 3kg, both roasters are solid lil work horses. Thank you Mill City!

One of the very rare, insightful and really useful discussions on roasters I've ever come across. What a magnificent engineering philosophy. We don't use a Mill City roaster, we do produce the "best coffee" I've ever tasted (one Michelin 3 star restaurant client and several 1 star) and I'd bet we could do it on a MCR. Maybe we would have got their sooner with a MCR? The industry needs more of these pro's!

Love love love this! As someone who uses the same roaster (just not branded from mill City) i 100% agree. 2kg one we are on now at UrbanRoasters in Australia, about to move to a much bigger one. :)

The posh lavish digs of MCR was a real fun place to be when I visited last December. It was a very worthwhile visit because it eliminated the doubt about which roaster to buy when I start my business. I hope I could make decisions about other things this easily. Your brand equity will rise soon. Hopefully not before I buy.

The thoughtful design and engineering of these Mill City Roasters are dream machines for people like me that have put years in the craft. It wouldn't bother me one bit that it's manufactured in China, so is my iPhone. Design. Engineering. Matters. Job well done!!! Steve, the crew you assembled at Mill City leaves no doubt about your commitment to excellence.

I've only heard great reviews of your roasters! Congrats on your diligence to create and produce high quality, great value machines! Do you have any interest or plans to create/produce high efficiency, more convective, automated capable machines in the future?

Yes. We bumped the audio and Photoshopped Steve to make him look younger and smarter. We succeeded with the audio. 🙂
