100% spot on. Learned on a 94 550, owned it for 4 years. bought a new 04 sxr, loved it so much i got a 09 when they said they were stopping production. SJs are nice owned one for a few years but 800 hands down. It will launch off a wake carve buoys and great for rec riding.

Boy, as I was listening to your podcast everything you said I was thinking of before you said it SXR 800 is the best I’ve ridden square nose super jet round nose super jet race both of them SXR 800 is the best SXR 1500 is a whale and is awful cornering unless you put a lot of money into it

Kawi 750 sx/sxi/sxi pro is another good choice.

I have an sxr 1500 and is stock squirly. Wont cruise at slower speeds. Rode an 800 last year, squirly as well stock. My 750sx and 650 sx are fun cruisers.

I bought a 1500 brand new off the showroom, went on one ride with the stock sponsons. Its far too sketchy stock.

@chriswagoner5406 yes. I have a pro watercraft sponsons and I like them. Coupled with a WCOT grate I'm pretty happy with the ski over all. It's far too apt to slide and far to powerful to be as loose as it is stock. SJ is better stock but the SXR blows by it with like 600 dollars in mods.

370 pound sxr 800 isn't light weight 😂 the 4 stroke superjet is like 5 pounds heavier give a take. Sxr800 is the heaviest of all 2 stroke stand ups but for bouy racing they are awesome! Freestyle riding superjet all day. Sxr is to heavy. I see foot holds in a sxr and I'm like why!? That's a carving machine not a loose throw around ski like a superjet
