Nice one Hux! Thank you for making this video, I was debating on picking up some hangers from my local store but this video talked me out of it! I still have 2 blaster/value boxes and two Megas I’ve yet to open so think I’ll just stick with those. So far I’ve pulled a green parallel Wemby and a pink basketball auto of Jaren Jackson but no Wemby normal base yet. Opened 6 blasters and one hanger. GL on your next rip!

That Wemby parallel is a win for sure. I just feel like this was pushed out without any effort by Topps to give us an incentive to buy it other that it has Wemby autos. It's a lazy offering. As always, thanks for watching. Goodluck on those blasters and megas.

I wish I was finding select basketball in the wild. I Love the Wemby Auto chase from Topps tho but they need more color and more players.

My local target has mega boxes of topps chrome basketball for $50. I bought two of them and didn’t pull anything worth while. I did get two wemby base cards one in each box which IMO is the only base card in this set worth the paper it’s printed on. Just my take. For some reason I do really like that card though for unlicensed crap that wemby card sure looks good.

The lone effort they put into the design was Wemby. It's pretty clear Topps basically threw out a set thinking only one player mattered. Sadly, they weren't wrong.

One of my biggest issues with Chrome and Composite is too many vets/retired players and not enough young exciting players.

Definitely would have liked to have been a fly on the wall when the designs were presented and all the approvers nodding their head like it was such a good idea. I think the blasters, even though that Podz had such a bad print line.

3:02 "orange basketball are numbered to 25",.... they aren't numbered. Topps did the basketball refractor in blue, pink and orange and none of them are numbered. The regular orange refractor and orange geometric are numbered to 25. I've been collecting Vince Carter and am only missing the frozen refractor, black /2 and the superfractor.

I bought 4 hangers from tiny Richard’s Sporting Goods. Although I probably won’t see them till Christmas, I looked at it as buying 4 $20 scratch offs. That’s a good way to rationalize it, ain’t it? At least I’ll have a bunch more wax to donate to my local YMCA. The kids absolutely go nuts over cards there. Blasters for the win! Go Bills! 🦬

I took a hard pass on both Topps Composite Football and Topps Chrome Basketball when I saw them on the Retail shelves. Waiting for Panini Chronicles for both Basketball and Football. Fully expect Chronicles to worthless in the future, but having the NBA and NFL Licenses is better when you are opening for pure entertainment. 🥸🏀🏈

It doesn't look like we're getting Chronicles for either in 2023. Football is already on 2024 product and basketball is starting to wrap up. It's a shame. I do like Chronicles hobby quite a bit.
