Here's a universal fact: Time runs in a line for all of us humans. It exists in a 'bunch' for our Creator. When Yeshua saved you it occured in a point in time that applied to your past, your present and your future because he is not limited in time.

John 6:39 ~ _"And this is the Will of Him Who sent Me, that I shall lose NONE of all those He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day."_ Romans 8:9 ~ _"You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does NOT belong to Him."_ ^^ That ^^ means anyone who *DOES* have the Holy Spirit of God in their heart IS Jesus' possession! We BELONG to Jesus (also read: 1 Corinthians 6:19)! Which means Jesus will NEVER lose us (remember John 6:39). Eternal security proven right there, just in two verses; interpreting scripture with scripture. Then Paul writes that we should not grieve the Holy Spirit (by sinning in the flesh), even though we are SEALED until the rapture (redemption of our bodies) ~> *Ephesians 4:30.* Notice Paul gives no warning of "sinning too much to break that seal" ? Exactly. This doesn't mean "we have a green light to sin" now. We're not claiming that. We're simply saying that the seal cannot be broken on those who are truly born of the Holy Spirit of God. John writes in *1 John 3:9* that those who are truly born of God cannot go on practicing sin. This means they cannot lose salvation. Now "practicing sin" is to be obviously interpreted. Practicing something is putting your whole mind, soul, heart and strength in relishing in it and delighting in it. Truly born again Christians will never put their whole mind, soul and heart into sinning because we've been born of God, and He will correct us one way or another in some of the stumbling our flesh will fall into, but we'll never be lost nonetheless. If we could do such a thing, we would've never been born of the Holy Spirit to begin with, since our hearts would've been too hardened to let Him in to begin with. John writes those who LEAVE us were never truly OF us to begin with: 1 John 2:19 ~ They were never truly born of the Holy Spirit to begin with. Ephesians 1 and Romans 8:29-30 show us Paul writing about how we (born of the Holy Spirit in our hearts) were PREDESTINED to be children of God before God even created anything. God FORKNEW us as His children. Is this calvinism? No. God knew who would FREELY choose Him, thus He chose them beforehand. That is the correct context. Why would God "unborn again" someone whom He foreknew would supposedly "lose salvation" in the future? He would not. That's the point. Jesus said that those on the day of judgement will come to Him saying "Lord, Lord..." and etc. but in Matthew 7:23 Jesus says He will tell them that He *NEVER KNEW them.* Read your bible, and see that when someone "knew" another person, a child was soon brought forth after. When God "knew" us, His child came forth. We're now BORN of the Holy Spirit of God, and cannot be "unborn" again. To think this can happen is pure silliness. :) I can bring up other verses but I'll sit here for a hour doing that. Yes, the verses people bring up to SEEMINGLY counter these are taken out of context (as usual), like Hebrews 6:4, Hebrews 10:26-29, etc. Context is key, but many people lose context.

American Coptic Orthodox Christian here and the Orthodox Church has never taught "once saved, always saved" because it's not Scriptural.

If you have no evidence of a changed life it’s because you were never actually saved or born again in the first place! If you are saved, you will show even the slightest change, you may still struggle with some of the old sinful habits, but you will be truly repentant and show genuine remorse over that sin.

So I was raised in the H.W. Armstrong doomsday cult and from age 4+ to 18 or 19 and discovered 4way window pain LSD and oh boy my sister had given me some while still in church and those guy's first gave me a hit and then I was like I don't think it's working so they gave me 4 more hits and it blew my mind! It was an old 60-79 designed apartment with the same light fixture's and everything that hadn't been broken was still unchanged so the lame was yellowish-orange with differing size bubbles on it and that thing started breathing and the black and white poster of Kurt Cobaine that was black and white with the quote from him "I hate myself and want to die" on it, well his eye's were bright blue and hair bright blond, he may have been fully in color but not the clothes...that was 30 years ago and at the time the brainwashing from that place seem to have been erased for the most part, I felt like a record that had kept skipping int the same spot over and over and over again and suddenly a full revolution was made and I didn't see the world as a wicked and ugly place anymore in the morning I went outside and sat in the sun and was like wow this world is a beautiful place, nature God's creation was beautiful! I later found out about the ugly wickedness and evil that has done an amazing job at trying to destroy me......yet through the 2 brutal open and shut attempted murders during corona in which I received no justice or any compensation or even counsel or did anyone in higher courts or agencies and my traumatic brain injuries and PTSD didn't have the ability to do the paperwork that was supposed to be done by someone who spoke legalese and that could have gone over the Governor of Hawaii and demanded all the records and names and everything they refused to give to anyone during the corona time cause they went mad with most everyone else, as in 2018 Maui alone made 50.2Billion not to mention all the illegal stuff done as it's the most openly corrupt place I have ever experienced, even a Detective Mark or Christophe Schmidt came out as a 25 year Maui cop and served in the military 5 years before that and he went on Maui news and said it everyone from your lowest public servant to the highest judge and Mayor, Governor anyone was on the take and the cops ran more than half the drugs and were always getting caught smoking meth and using underage girls inappropriately for giving them alcohol or drugs or fake I.D.s for sex....just festering corruption and I need more than our sick care system can offer..as they are actively practicing eugenics now for the poor and ignorant where they no longer post our right's as patient's and human being in need of help.....

I just do not understand the scriptural basis for this doctrine. Its like the whole doctrine is based on one word or one phrase. Why even repent ever again if repenting over past sins is good enough to cover all future sins?? Are you even repenting at all?

There is Christians who say God strengthens you, yet they sin and sin and sin… Why isn’t he there to stop it? Why can atheists stop doing sinful things without the need of God? There are two things a Believer of Christ is saved from. Their sins that can only be washed by a sinless creature, and the inability to worship God faithfully. It isn't inherently about good works, rather it's about doing GOD'S works on Earth.

I did everything to sew kindness where there was hate and all that I could to help and people just stole from me and then tried to kill me so I'm working on trying to get my brain healed by Yeshua the Messiah or by some Godly healing or our comforter the Holy Spirit....something's gotta give I am at my limit. Please say a quick prayer for Stephen Anderson Snow or just Andy Snow for my healing and understanding to come quickly as I've been threatened again and cannot live on the streets in my. condition ever again! I don't want to put words in your mouth by saying you said something you didn't say. My understanding of what you have said as far as I can tell is that Jesus was wrong and the life, he gives is not eternal. The scripture says the life he gives lasts forever John 6:51, and 58, and 3:15-18. My question would be how anyone that has been given the life of God could lose it if he says it is everlasting? In other words, if we can lose it, it would not be everlasting. 1 John 5:10-11 says we are calling God a liar when we don't believe it is eternal, and 5:13 says we can know we have eternal life. My understanding of the life he gives has to be forever because he comes into our hearts by faith, we would have to be stronger than God to break the seal of the Holy Spirit who is God.

The ten virgins are telling us five were wise and had oil, and five were foolish and had no oil. five were saved filled with the Holy Spirit, and the foolish were not saved and not let in to heaven. What does that have to do with losing your salvation. John 15:5-6 goes along with 1 Corinthians 3;14-17 again it has nothing to do with losing your salvation. Luke is Jesus dealing with the Jew under the law, you see he is dealing with a servant not a child of God, again nothing to do with losing salvation.

You are SEALED with THE HOLY SPIRIT upon placing your FAITH ALONE in Jesus Christ everlasting atonement sacrifice. It's says that God takes no record of your sins and FORGETS THEM! A free gift does not come with stipulations. We have done NOTHING to earn, deserve or maintain our salvation and therefore we can do NOTHING to lose it.

The problem with OSAS doctrine is the false teaching that says we have no free will and that putting faith is Christ is a "work." Thus God has to regenerate us first or something like that. It's way off base but that is the foundation of the phraseology. It's not biblical. The apostle Paul told his disciples to KEEP THE FAITH. You can read that how you want but the word "if" is in Scripture too many times to think the Christian life has no decision making power. Everybody who ends up in hell is there by choice not because God "sent" them there
