I put a lot of effort into the opening segment to give the feeling of entering the Odyssey universe. I couldn't keep up the 3D environments and sound effects for the whole video but the holographic display elements were meant to keep the theme going on a budget.

i'm perosnally theorizing that the 'Demaxian' Empire was supposed to be a fusion of the *Demacia and Noxian empires - seeing as Jarvan is still the Emperor, but also because of Kayn! He was a Noxian conscript on Runeterra, and so him advancing up through the ranks would make sense in Oddessy, as a neat little backstory parallel!

My literal only exposure to these characters comes from this channel but I think I’ve heard you mention that Twisted Fate has a husband, and if this becomes an adaptation I want that husband to be the “Tavern Keeper who doesn’t really care that much for combat but Will Kick Ass if Provoked” character to provide some kind of home base for the crew of the Wild Card as you called them for the episode(s?) in which they would interact with the main crew. Just one chill filler episode on a little settlement outside of the grasp of the empire. The kind of place where someone shooting someone else just gets some annoyed looks

Coven, elderwood, old gods, and eclipse are all linked together, so there is a lot of content for that storyline. Like numerous factions all fighting with their own agendas, all drawing on great mystical powers, but the lines that seperate the good and evil within them are…not always clear.

This is a bit late, but i would like to also say one thing about Kayn's design that you didn't mention. Whilst Rhaast is a Dark Star, Kayn almost looks like someone straight out of the cosmic skin - down to similar color schemes of the body and hair, to the particle effects of the skin itself. The idea that Kayn takes the power of Rhaast (a Dark Star) and becomes an entity similar to a Cosmic is kinda interesting. EDIT: ALSO! One other thing I'd like to mention is that other Dark Stars/Cosmics call Rhaast a runt and the like. His size and the fact he's a Dark Star that is supposed to just open up the way for other, more powerful Dark Stars. Hell, Rhaast is even afraid of other Dark Stars. In a way, he's an outcast of his own which fits with the rest of the skinline.

Blood Moon has a great short story with Sivir & High Noon with Talon. They would both be excellent skin lines to develop the story further. They’re both very thematic and stand out from the rest of the skin universes.

Holy... man i can't even put into words how excited you got me when you started describing your non-cannon story. I always think of movies and/or series and i don't really care if one or two aspects (maybe even the whole core) is based in an pre-existing setting, what matters is what are you going to feel watching it. For me, art is about evoking feelings, and the dynamics between the character as you displayed got me desiring for more, feeling excited and hopefull that one day it would be a series like Arcane. The only things i would change, if you allow me some opinion, is that yasuo would actually lose the battle against Rhaast (but he would in fact be really close to winning), but with his ultimate effort he granted Sona enough time to seal the Ora portal and flee, leaving a hurt and ANGRY rhaast beating the hell out of that portal trying to open it by force because he is not able to accept that he has lost, until the bombs do their job. I feel this would be the MAXIMUM possible redeem for yasuo, finally meeting his brother in after-life after just having the most honorable death possible AND at the same time stopping him from going back to his normal life, becauss without a vilain threatening existance, wouldn't yasuo return to his fucked up drunk life? I think it would be a REALLY emotional way to end a good arc with. Sona would go back to the space hippies, malphite and jinx could join TF's Crew and continue their lifes always remembering that fucked up drunk guy who was actually the definition of what a Hero is. I'd totally buy a physical 💽copy of this if it ever became a movie The only thing i'd change about the ending is Yasuo seemingly loosing but not before striking a last slash onto Rhaast, just enough for Kayn to regain controll. The outcome would be the same as in Kayn would still end up in the same situation due to exhaustion and damage and it wouldn't undermine Yasuo's role since without him Kayn wouldn't have gotten the upper hand and gain controll once more. imo it woud add more suspense to the scene. Amazing vid as always Skyen! As for the next skinline i'd love your take on Bloodmoon (especially with the introduction of the Snowmon) or Darkstar.

Project would get my vote. I like fantasy and sci-fi genres, the general lack of cyberpunk or steampunk settings just makes me value each one a little more. It is one of the reasons why I like Piltover/Zaun so much. Project skins all look pretty good I just wish they would give us some thing more than just a model to look at. Runner up would be High Noon skin line. The High noon story seems to have an idea what it wants to do but like a lot of league lore it doesn't ever give enough time to fully explore the ideas. We have the harbingers and the angels and some plot ideas dropped to be explored, not to mention there are some really dope skins. side note: thought the editing looked really good. Aatrox looks so similar to rhaast, if you didnt read aatrox's story you would think he was another dark star creature in the oddysey universe, im half convinced they just went "yea make another rhaast/make them look similiar to each other because they're both darkin in runeterra", then some writer went "wait that dosen't make any sense" and they shoehorned in his current backstory

My only thing to add to that fanfic is exploring Jinx's attraction to Kayn. Is it badbois in general? It is anyone who gives her exhorbitant amounts of attention? Maybe her disney princess look hints at her idealizing him hunting them cause it feels like being chased by prince charming. It could lead to some fun moments but I'd never wish for her to be reduced to just that, or even have it as a secondary motivation but it was a fun moment from the trailer I'd hate to see discarded entirely. Perhaps by the end she realizes she doesn't need to be swept into a grand adventure to find something valuable, pulled away by knight in shining armor to a beautiful castle, when she everything she could ever want is right there on the Morning Star. 10/10 review! I don't even play LoL but this line of skins has always captured my imagination and I feel that's a testament to it's potential. Your story sounds like the kind of show I would rewatch again and again to the point that it not getting an adaptation brings a tear to my eye.

Ayoooo this editing is looking sexyyyyyy. I loved the blue panel always showing up for the skins, it gave the video some nice cohesion. And the intro was suuuuch a cool way to open. Also the reference to tb Skyen short channel for the rapid fire skins was really fun. Gotta say tho. The idle animations of all the characters in the story time segments were getting really distracting. Especially when they were in big groups. Just a still image would do really. Not really, it doesn't show up on KZbin Shorts. I made it for the main video to avoid blurring the whole splash art and obscuring the animations I made. Champion models are tall and narrow and the panel is made to fit around their shape.

Such a good explanation of the potential of this skin line. I love the way you can take the pieces of character design, the briefest tidbits of story, and the genre tropes of the world, and use them to explore every nook and cranny of the skin line to show its potential. I would absolutely love to see one of these for Star Guardians? There's so much *yearning* there, and while there's not much in terms of story, what we do get in the various animated sequences is tantalizing enough that I'd love to see a deeper exploration. Like most of those give me the same vibes as, say, the dreams of the final battle from shows like Pretty Cure or Madoka, where we're setting up where we're going to end up.

I'd love a kayn skin where Rhaast is the good guy, like base Kayn is kinda at a tipping point between good and evil, and Shadow goes all the way toward evil, where as if he chooses to be good, he merges with Rhaast and becomes a full on hero

As always a great video! The editing was truly wonderful, applause for UnCover's work 👏👏👏the little hologram cards for the models was a nice touch and all the editing done for the stories was a great visual assist for telling them. The fanfic parts are always my favourite's of your videos, and "Wildly huff impotent copium" is my new favourite phrase ever. I hope and pray and dream that Riot will ever do *Anything* with the stories and characters they set up in these skinlines, but while they don't, we always have the fanfics to slake our hunger :3c

Where in each one of Kayn and Rhaast kills the other and takes control, each scenario equally likely and equally fated. Both paths draw to the same conclusion, of course being defeated. Maybe in both timelines ripples of the other one shine through.

I just wanna point out that Rhaast and Aatrox are still brothers in this skin line. During the original event, they changed the announcer to Rhaast and Kayn and in that Kayn asks about Rhaast brother being a space pirate and Rhaast gives a disappointed response. Idk how that even makes sense but it’s something to note

I know that every story can go either way but your directions always feel like the intended story, like how the story is supposed to play through. The Odyssey skin line reminds me of an anime called Starzinger which has pretty much the same premise: mystical princess from earth travels across the universe with the help of three soldiers from different planets in a quest to stop a big bad from ruling the world 🦅🚁👢

Your takes and narration skills on the fan fiction parts are amazing. It really brought me to see Odyssey in a new light rather than just some other very-cool-space-themed skinline. Had to agree with your Zed and Aatrox takes, too. Like they're just.....there to be cool skins and don't really contribute to the storytelling element much. Urgot would've been a better pick instead of Aatrox since: crime boss + is sick + very dependent on some sort of support....etc... just fits him more tbh. And the amount of editing on this video really shows that you're very passionate about Odyssey so kudos on that. Can't wait for more videos like this :D
