What's the Deal With Ngons?

This was inspired by a small rant I made on stream. What i've said in the doesn't come close to the pros and cons of using Ngons but it does touch on one of the fundamental issues.

What if i just want to import Ngon in purpose in ZBrush? How it could be possible! Without any resolving like deleting faces or splitting Ngons into tris
