Answer - the weather record isn't erased like climate data is to support a narrative.
@JoeParkerAndThePower3 жыл бұрын
Climate data is formed partly from the weather record. Some temperature records (e.g. the Radcliffe one in Oxford - www.geog.ox.ac.uk/research/climate/rms/intro.html) have been kept continuously since the 1750s. You can go and request access to view the original records if you're worried about people interfering with the data. If you have a problem - - go and see for yourself. And yes, they *do* show a long-term trend of increases in temperature...

Climate = season.
@thirtysevengreenbot4 жыл бұрын
Climate relates to periods of at least 30 years, but can be the weather averaged over thousands or even millions of years. Seasons are the repeated usual weather conditions over periods of a few months eg dry season vs wet season, warm (usually summer) vs cold (usually winter).

Winter has always been a synonym for death. The summer on the other hand has always been celebrated by hundreds of different cultures around the globe. Sun, light, is life. Wouldn´t a hotter planet mean a more productive planet? or a better planet? wouldn´t this change be positive for humanity? for agriculture around the globe? shouldn´t we all fear a new ice age, where all crops would be destroyed? why there is fear of a warmer climate?

Nice try BBC, but I remember as clear as day in 1983 when I was avidly following scientific journals and definitely not spaced out in school ignoring anyone who tried to drill an ounce of rationality into my brain, that "they" (the spooky, scary, experts) clearly said the Earth would be entirely underwater and that we'd all be incinerated by deadly solar lasers on cue on January 1st 2000. My last experience with scientific education might have been when I was 15 and I received a D grade in O-level chemistry, and have since worked my way up to middle-management in a call-centre, but my asinine opinions on science definitely haven't been considered by researchers who devote their lives to this field, honest.

Science is big business...I remember when "experts" said the sun was warming the planet...and not humans. I also remember reading "experts" thought the earth was flat...also "experts" thought injecting mentally ill people with vinegar was "good" for them.....
@samuwhite1387 Жыл бұрын
Climate change does not mean global warming. In fact, global warming means global warming, and climate change means climate change. You cannot answer the question: Why did the ice age's happen? with "global warming". So perhaps try and provide accurate information: Global warming is a form of climate change. Also, I've been very interested in the fact that if humans intend to be around for the long term and still around for the next ice age, what on earth are we going to do about the 1km high glaciers that are going to spread out from the poles? Hilariously, the mission will likely be to pump greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere as fast as possible in the attempt to keep the planet warm.

And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. “This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 5-7 NIV "The Righteousness of our Lord Jesus Christ our God." In the New Heaven and New Earth, only Righteousness dwells. May the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ our God be with you all.

It seems to be getting colder! Where I am in the UK summer is supposed to average at 25 degrees yet it's averaged at 18 degrees this year and averaged at 19 degrees last year so it's more global cooling than global warming. We probably had the coldest day on record for July in the South East as it was down as low as 12 degrees and 5 degrees at night! I've never had to put the heating on in July before lol yeah global warming doesn't exist
