The Company Man is a legit award winning journalist. He was the Editor in Chief for Hip Hop DX. So lil WTD needs to put some respect on that mans name.

You guys continue to impress me and it's why I love your channel. You gave this guy the benefit of the doubt throughout your entire reaction...until you couldn't. I had him chalked up as a racist about 4 minutes in, but you kept an open mind. I appreciate you guys and how real you keep it!

"Riding the dumb" Before my grandma passed away 25 years ago, this was a line she would say about anyone who just did/said stupid things and refused to acknowledge or accept it. Seems appropriate here for this Dirt dude.

Wait a minute. Are we really having a conversation about everyone stealing from everyone? Let’s be real about the history of our culture being appropriated and monetized. It feels like a parallel to the way some people say "black on black crime" when discussing police brutality. The point is, Drake is out here cosplaying, and while some rappers may not have lived the lives they portray, it doesn’t change the fact that Drake was pushed to the forefront for a reason. His identity and what he chooses to represent-particularly his Jewish heritage-absolutely matter. This is why you have people like WTD who come in and monetize off our culture while making derogatory statements. Why would Drake include a line about "whip and chain you like American slaves" in a song? It’s not about questioning his black identity; the example you used about him getting pulled over misses the point entirely. His lyrics and choices matter, and it’s essential to address the implications behind them.

If you check out The Company Man response, he didn't receive it either. At the end of the video, he showed the letter he tried to DM him privately.

We are talking about two separate things. Cultural and Race are two different things. Culturally Drake is not black, but race wise he's black he will be seen as black. People who have not grown up in 'American Black Culture' will not fully understand 'American Black Culture' just like us Black Americans cannot fully understand other cultures but it's deeper than that. Cultural comes from YOUR MOM, unless your dad or someone else was you main caregiver. Cultural includes how we were raised. It's the food we eat, the way we talk, religion, customs, music we listen to, ethics, values. The problem is Black Americans have given soo many people of other cultures a pass to talk or disrespect our culture, people of other cultures think they can have an opinion on us. You don't see Black Americans talking about Indian Culture or Japanese Culture, yet those same cultures will talk about us. This is why you have people like "Whats the Dirt" speaking on shit he has not business speaking on. Everyone doesn't deserve a invitation to the bbq, yet we continue to give out passes.

I am a 58 white woman who been married to a black man for 35 years RIP to my lovely husband. My husband was in his kids life and we make sure that are kids new both of there culture because it's important for there well being. Drake grow up whit is Juif mother that didn't care to show him the other side of is culture. For me that not ok and that why we a Drake doing what he is doing. On that i understand Kendrick when he say your not like us and i approuved it

This isn't looking good... Using characters from The Boondocks is never the place to go. I always kept the door open on dating, why miss out? Beautiful girls and women were always an option. Man... this is nutty, people don't miss a chance to sound ignorant. Thanks fellas, interesting watch.🤘

And so tf what if Kendrick only dates or is only attracted to his own race? That's his prerogative. That dude (What's the dirt?) is ridiculous. Also, for a bit of trivia info, the Black Panthers were not violent people. They armed themselves (which was/is their legal right) to protect themselves against the white police. And the police were still breaking into their homes and taking their lives. And, Hound Dog was written by 2 guys (Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller) who wrote it for Willie Mae Thornton, but, was owned by the 2 guys who wrote it then they sold it to Elvis for him to sing a version. It wasn't that long ago that I learned that. I was a bit surprised.

As a white woman having guys like this in my race is an embarrassment. If there is something my race doesn’t know or understand about your culture the responsible thing to do is respectfully ask a black friend about their culture not make a whole KZbin video making disrespectful statements about something we are not a part of. It’s one thing to be interested in and learn about another culture vs just making wild statements out of your ass and posting the video online for millions of people to see

Like when I buy books about Hawaiians (my culture) first thing I check is “who wrote it”? Did our people write it? Same for Natives and Indigenous folks everywhere. Is someone outside stating their opinions as facts to be misunderstood by who knows how many readers?

For any person to tell another they should or should not talk a certain way or about certain people that's the upmost sign of being racist.. we should all be able to speak our mind so that we can learn about eachother and finally blur that line drawn by the real racist people wanting us to be apart and at eacbother

The problem with your way of thinking about culture is that it leaves you blind & deaf to all the ways in which culture is influencing you & the people around you, good & bad. Personality, character & decision-making are all a product of the various cultures that influence a child during the most malleable part of their brain's development + genetics/biology. Every individual is an accumulation of cultural influences transmitted to us by other individual members of multiple cultures.- free will may not be an illusion, but it's most assuredly a by-product.
