According to current information, a Top Fuel dragster can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 0.4 seconds making it one of the fastest accelerating vehicles in the world. Top Fuel dragster can pull up to 5.6 g's (55 m/s2) at peak acceleration and averages around 4.0 g's (39 m/s2) over the course of a race. This is equivalent to a gravitational force of five times the driver's body weight.

When it comes to acceleration, all cars are equally slow compared to a top fuel car. The acceleration is so mad that by the time the rear wheels reach where the front wheels started the car is already doing 160 km/h. The current record for dragsters is approximately 545 km/h in 3.6 seconds. So it's completely unfair to compare a top fuel car to any other car in terms of acceleration but it puts things into perspective.

@flameburstgt6503 Yeah, but it's not the case with the f1 car. Technically, it should have the highest 0-100 time (other than the dragster) because of the combined horsepower. But I ain't complaining, I love formula e and I love the fact the cars are getting seriously fast now.

@ the thing about f1 is that it doesn’t have traction control so you gotta modulate the throttle and you can’t get it perfect all the time plus f1 aerodynamics aren’t that effective at lower speeds so you have to mostly rely on mechanical grip (tires). The FE on the other hand has AWD and electric cars no matter road or race car would have the advantage over petrol cars due to the instant torque from the electric motor

I'm surprised at the amount of people that are surprised that the all-wheel drive fully electric formula e car is the best accelerating car in circuit motorsports. Also fia has been talking all about the fact that they actually achieved 1.8 0-60 mph during testing back when they unveiled the Gen 3 evo. And has been confirmed by the fia as the fastest accelerating car in world circuit motorsports currently.

In general you can tell there's a lot more wheelspin on most of the starts than there really should be. The inconsistency in amount of wheelspin make it a pretty inaccurate comparison as a whole.

Yes, a lot shorter. It's probably impossible to do in AC (I'm assuming that's the sim they make their videos with) though because I'm assuming this mod lacks the proper tire model for the dragster (dragster rear tires flatten when they start and then rapidly expand as they gain more speed). AC was never written to simulate it.

I would suspect that the 320 kph is for the road course Indy car. Of course, in highspeed oval's the series archives much higher speeds, but those are 2 very different cars altogether.

The oval version of Indy car had less overall horsepower. It’s not nearly as quick 0-60, more like 4.5 seconds. NASCAR is much the same. I remember a tv show years ago in which they had Jeremy Mayfield’s Dodge Charger cup car and were doing 0-60 runs with it. About 4.5 seconds was the best they could do. Those cars, like Indy cars, are geared for top speed.
