Last item is a manual toilet paper winder, circa 1920. A cardboard cylindar was positioned between the two nodules, and the device was wound counterclockwise by hand at the crosspiece on top as the tissue was slowly being fed onto the winder. I have one that was my Grandmother's. She hand-wound toilet paper in a Youngstown, Ohio factory during the Great Depression to help support her family.

Toilet paper extractor. If you get too ambitious with a maneuver you slide the first bit over the unnecessary blockage as you pull down the second that will squeeze the paper for extraction. Very closely designed after the old flintlock bullet extractor.

Interesting, the water meter chamber. I worked at Neptune factory in Tallassee Alabama for 6 weeks back in 1973. I actually assembled the chamber, it's a bit different from that one. They were made of brass, I had to insert a part and bolt down 4 bolts on the cover. Then I tested them by mounting a bunch of them on a tester and running water through. I only had to check for leaks. The cases were rough and tore my hands to shreds. My Mom worked in QC until she retired. It pretty much was a horrible job.

Well, I recognized or guessed three today - the old electric massager, the razor sharpener, and the expanding book rack. The last item looks like it is intended to be used to reach inside a narrow cylinder of some sort.

I was quite amused by the advertisements for the vibrator. Around 1970 I bought a "modern" battery-powered vibrator for my girlfriend, when I moved away to grad school and knew she'd miss ... um ... me, and the ads for it were exactly that same sort of distraction from the actual intended use! I'm very sure these things worked well to relieve "stress"!

I guessed the book rack straight away! I used to have one that my Aunt brought home from her world tour. It was made with carved oak leaves and acorns. Quite a beautiful item.

Funny how there always seem to be one or two items that I find obvious, and wonder why people would have to ask LOL. The boot jack and the expanding book rack this time.

I have a similar boot jack. Mine has leather to protect the boots. It was designed in 1965 in Jacksonville, Florida by an elderly gentleman who owned a shoe repair shop. It was designed to help people with balance problems to remove their boots. That one is missing the leather. I've got the news paper article. I used my boot jack just last week. It was made to last.

I have one of those expandable book racks, a gift from my parents when I was a young boy. It was a *very* close match to the one shown at 6:00 and mine actually *was* made in India.

If you thought that vibrator was scary, it was worse, before. Hysteria was treated by stimulating the patient to orgasm. Vibrators were invented by a doctor whose hand kept cramping up, while administering the treatment. I am certain that the reality has no correspondence with the images that first come to mind, but the initial vibrators were steam powered.

Oh, it's even more messed up than that hysteria is from the Greek hyster meaning uterus. Women being frantic, mad, enraged, etc was a symptom of having a womb!

A head shop in Colorado Springs, Maudi's Flea Market, offered a lot of carved wood items from India back in the 1960s & '70s, like the book rack shown here.

I thought the last one was a cheese wire cutter. the 2 metal bits fit onton a hole on a marble cutting board. Far end one for large cheese, use the next one along for smaller pieces . The other end is the handle grip. But just a guess

I recognized and mentally identified none this time. Shoot these objects have been obscure lately. The final item has me puzzled too. I’m looking forward to finding out when it is revealed as they said it was with kitchen items the only thing was some type of meat thermometer. I seriously doubt my answer being even close lol

Well I did pretty good on this one, razor strop, book rack, massager, and weight set, the last item is a strange thing, my guess is its for maybe getting corks out of bottles? Piece of an old clock bell/gong ringer? not a clue but kinda cool :)

The last one was a manual hemorrhoid tucker. Back before preparation h existed they had to manually tuck their hemorrhoids, it was a gruelling & painful process, i know this because my grandmother used to use this on me, i was fraught with constipation issues as a child.

They though the water meter part was plastic?? Its obviously brazed/soldered andafe of brass or copper. A lot of things showing up jere are from our grandparents era and people have no clue as to what they are? The younger generation is scary!

Last one is a Spanish nose irrigator, it widens the nasal passages of green bison that roam in the alleyways of Spain. Without this tool the green bison can't breathe through their nostrils and have to use their dorsal blowholes which is very loud, 120 dB loud. Sorce, I used these when I was a kid for extra pocket change back in the 70's. 😀

That makes sense because it was in with kitchen items. When I was a kid, we always did penile extractions of foreign objects on the cutting board in the kitchen. Like most kids, we were always getting foreign objects stuck in our urethra. Boys will be boys.
