Also, another way to tell with some fake cards, compare the size. I ordered some off of the Wish app and their cards almost seemed real from a distance, but they felt different and they were noticeably smaller than real cards lol. So if you order off eBay and other sites, make sure you don't order from China

Yesterday when I was at league, there was a player who has a miscut shaymin and multiple miscut cards, to the point where the shaymin could have been worth maybe $100. The card above it was on it. Its not every day you see something like this, so me and my friend were all over it. We've been playing for about 8 years, so we knew what we were doing, it was just another trade. Immediatly I was suspicious. The cards seemed off. Some colors were very very slightly off. I may not have noticed if it wernt for the fact that the part of the card that has the attacks, also had the holo effect on it. My friend who has been playing just as long as me traded for it, I was watching the entire time because every red flag was going off, this wasnt someone who we've traded with before. The dude wasn't grabbing much, just a couple cheap Ex pokemon, maybe $30 of value. I could tell what was happening, the guy knew it was fake, and he felt bad in some way maybe, perhaps Im giving him too much credit, he may have just been trying to play dumb. Immediatly after the trade I said "Max let me see that card," I took it out of the sleeve, the back looked clearly faked. We undid the trade, and the guy claimed he didnt know they were fake. Im willing to bet those fake cards are still in his binder. Watch out guys, this was such a convincing card. The only thing that really tipped me off was the holo very feintly showing through the solid color on the attacks, it was an identicle copy besides that and the back of the card, but if its in a sleeve, you cant see that part. When I asked if I could see one of his cards (before the shaymin trade) he told me to not take off the sleeve. Scum. Just be careful.
