I’m gonna explain the phenomenons seen in this video because I have nothing else to do with my time. The reason the ‘voidlands’ are so glitchy and unnatural is due to something called a floating point. As numbers begin to approach or surpass the integer limit, numbers can no longer be stored in simple clean digit form, and they get converted to a floating point. The floating point, unfortunately, also has limits and the farther past the integer limit you go, the more inaccurate floating points become. As for the strange occurrences like no villages and large ore veins, this is because of the Y level. The code only accounts for the normal minimum height limit, so they still get bigger the farther down you are. Villages are only able to spawn at specific Y levels as well. TL;DR: As numbers get too large to be stored normally, they have to be converted to a new way of storage, but this gets more inaccurate the farther past the limit they are, causing strange occurrences like the ones in this video, and also the Farlands in vanilla Minecraft.

Fun fact! Lore-wise, the layer of bedrock at the bottom of the overworld is the same layer at the top of the Nether. So, to answer your question; the Nether is what's under the bedrock.

1:43. I believe the concept of this dream world was later turned into an end. Also there is a mod inspired by this idea, that adds it's own version of the dream world. The mod name is aether. And I believe there is a mod that adds a bunch of scrapped ideas to minecraft, including the dream world.

I double checked the wiki and the iron vein makes sense! They can apparently appear with more than 2000 blocks of a particular ore O.o Apparently iron veins are programmed to appear below Y=0 so if that didn’t change in 1.18 this makes sense because they nowadays appear in deepslate and with cubicchunks they appear in the void
