Mine has hyper tough battery tools proudly displayed. Hart in boxes here and there. I would never buy any of that crap. But sometimes when they are clearing hand tools out it's 50-75% off, like the pry bar set I picked up for 5$. If I didn't go there for dog goodies I would never know.

I bought a Hyper Tough 18v Cordless Drill about 4-5 years ago. It introduced me to the world of cordless tools. I've moved on to buy into the Skil 12v and Makita line tools. The Hyper Tough drill still works fine. I use it all the time for light use, as it does complain and is a bit slow and wimpy on the heavier tasks. I paid less than the $20 (with charger and battery), so I got more than my money's worth.

Likewise I built up a Hart collection of about 15 20V tools and a slew of batteries. It's been over a year since I added to it. The tools I have work great and there's nothing new anyway. Besides, we all got use to the low intro prices or the closeout prices. And that's not easily found any more. Some Hart items are now at Ollie's, which is a good indicator of how well they didn't sell at Walmart. Ollie's is a frequent host for Walmart/Sams overstocks. The real deals on Hart right now are on Ebay and Mercari. Prices are still dirt cheap. Many items new in box. That's just how it is for now.

I picked up a used Hyper Tough hammer drill about a month ago. It's adequate when used with hex shank bits, but otherwise, the chuck is pretty close to useless on smaller bits. It has a bunch of clutch settings, but the chuck will let go long before you invoke the clutch. Still, for dirt cheap, it's better than I expected.

I also noticed that too a a few years ago, when Walmart began to sell Hart stuff & that the Hart pricing was relatively too high compared to other brand-name tools. I would rather just go buy cheaper alternatives. I don't care if Hart products are better quality, which I don't really know, but since I know how to repair tools, I would rather buy something cheaper & repair or modify it to make it better if it breaks down, of which I haven't really had any big issues with other brands. I haven't really noticed the prices on HyperTough, but it was the Hart high prices that stood out for me when I've perused the Walmart tool section. Luckily there is a small Mom&Pop type store in my town that is sort of like a mini-Walmart that combines tools & food, where their prices are lower than Walmart & Lowes/HomeDepot, although they do not have everything, so you just have to look around to see if they have what you are looking for & if you find it, the prices are probably cheaper. 04/06/24

I’ve had all 3 lines. Hart, hyper tough 12v and 20v. I didn’t like how expensive hart was. It should be a little cheaper to be a better value. I ended up selling out of the line. The hyper tough 12v is great. Better than the 20v. But doesn’t have the tool selection of the 20v line. The 20v line is under powered. I think it’s due to the batteries being low quality. But it’s been a good line. You’ll definitely need a 4ah battery to use the circ saw.

I got in the Hart 20 volt line about 2 years ago. They have good stuff, but honestly, for the amount I use some certain tools, I’ve been going across the street to Harbor Freight and getting Warrior or Bauer corded tools. I really like my Hart drill and driver, I easily use those two the most frequently. Last summer I switched to a Hart 20 volt string trimmer with good results from a Craftsman 2 stroke that was only lasting a season or two and I’ve really fallen in love with the Hart 18 gauge nailer. I just have a hard time justifying getting a $70 Hart 20v angle grinder or multi tool when HF has the Bauer corded 7 amp grinder on sale for $19.99 and the Warrior 2 amp multi tool on coupon for $15.00 and I’m only going to rarely have a need for those for my DIY projects. I may bump up to a Bauer multi tool though, I’ve been discovering new uses for that versatile piece of equipment and the Bauer 3 amp version may be worth it. I’m a mix of Hart battery powered tools for my most common needs and Warrior and Bauer corded tools for the less often used tools and corded Sun Joe trimmers and saws for my outdoor bush and tree trimming as I have a lot of work out there and I don’t think battery tools would cut it for me. That’s what works for me. Always look forward to the videos, have a great rest of the weekend everyone.

@GrabLifeByDaPoosy
@GrabLifeByDaPoosy 5 ай бұрын
@@donnie017 I always wait till they go on sale in combo kits usually because you generally either end up getting one or more tools or one or more batteries free compared to buying them at regular price. Not to mention an extra 10% off from my girl's associate discount. Then I just sell off any unwanted duplicate tools I have or the smaller amp hour batteries to a buddy of mine. It's a win-win for both of us since I don't charge him full retail price. The price isn't justified at full retail price if you ask me because you can get something like the regular brushed Milwaukee for just a few more dollars. I'm not complaining though. They've done everything I needed them to do.

Finishing out our basement in our new house, I love Hyper Tough for what it is.. I mean I got a sledge hammer for $6 and it's fiberglass too. Otherwise historically I had a Hart brand hammer drill that I felt was overpriced and wasn't really that good compared to my HFT Bauer tools which have done most of the project without so much as a hiccup. I think the main thing with these cheaper tools is they give you a great tool basically at a loss, but they then make up for it with the batteries since the batteries are generally more than the cost of the tool itself.

About the only thing I think worth buying specially hyper tough related is their small parts organizers. They're two for $13 and they hook together and you can stack as many as you want. I use them for screws, wire connectors and other small stuff and they live in the bed of my truck. So far the water seals have worked even when my bed was full of water after a heavy rain for six months. The real test will be how they handle the Texas summer which can turn plastic into so soft you could mold it or so brittle it breaks looking at it.

What's up is that the Hyper tough line offers some rebranded high quality American made WILDE pry bars, while HART is a shamelessly used name that once belonged to the best manufacturer of California framing hammers. They also replaced every American made Channellock, and V&B / Dasco tool with crappy imported HART brand knockoffs. Without them Walmart would still sell Channellock pliers, Vaughan & Bushnell hammers, and Dasco pro pry bars. I can't stand the HART brand.

WM has that appealing return policy, but where they really fall short is on tool storage and organization, which is pretty strange for them. If you're working in a shop, you probably aren't buying sockets from WM, so they might as well come up with a good travel solution. If the big stores are moving away from blow molded cases, they should distinguish themselves by moving back.

That Walmart has a much more comprehensive tool selection and is much better organized than my Walmart in south central PA. And my Walmart has to be one of the messiest too.

I bought into the Hart eco system when they went on clearance after the introduction. I like mine but realize that they are weak compared to the 'pro' brands.

WOW Hart's pricing themselves out of the market, especially compared to Ridgid and their Lifetime Service Agreement so you get free replacement batteries for life!!

Do you have any experience with the ridgid warranty? I hear its all smoke and mirrors...
@jontnoneya3404
@jontnoneya3404 5 ай бұрын
@@gonzalez7805- Don't believe everything you read. They changed things up recently. You used to have to send the tool to an official repair shop and they would evaluate it. Took too much time and people were complaining about it. Late 2023, they changed it up and now you send it to Ridgid directly and it's supposed to dramatically decrease the response time. Have I needed this myself? No and others on KZbin are going to test this. The ones who already have said good things about the changes. The main complaints I hear are from people who expect instant carry-broken-tool-into-the-store-and-walk-out-with-new-tool response. NOBODY has that with the exception of maybe Harbor Freight MAYBE. HF does have that on hand tools but I'm not sure about power tools. When compared with other MFGs, it sounds like Ridgid is moving in the right direction. But whether you have to wait 1 week or 1 month or even 6 months for a replacement, you still have a lifetime agreement which others DO NOT provide.

I actually had several people on the channel tested since they made the changes and about half had a good experience and the other half had a bad experience. They were all longtime, rigid owners, well aware of all the nuances of the LSA at this point all I can say is that it’s not better.

I think Walmart jacked prices to keep from selling too much and keeping something on the shelf. They almost tripled the price on Motorcraft oil filters.

The Wal Mart by me has all this stuff locked in cages. To even look at it you have to navigate through tweekers asking you to donate to their charity. Then again, I live in California so my standards are already pretty low.

Clearance and sale prices are the way to go. Hyper tough the lawn equipment takes the same battery which is cool. My complete set under 500 dollars and I can mow trim and blow. Can not do it with harbor frieght.

Most of my cordless tools are the red hypertough tools. I wouldn't recommend the black 20v hypertough. I burned out their 1/4 impact within a week doing what I normally do with their red version.

Kinda unrelated, but Evercraft tools at Napa have been discontinued. Most are 50% off. Have any inside connections that may shed some light on the future of the “Lifetime warranty” Heard they are switching to performance tool. Keep up the good work, love the videos.

No problems springing for hypertough or hart on hand tools, but on power tools i'd probably either go to harbor freight or save up for the next level up.

When Hart runs their promo like the 2 4Ah batteries and tool for $99 it's hard to beat. I have a bunch of Hart support tools like the lights and vacuum (1 and 2 Gallon version) and surprisingly the compressor. They all work great for the use. My main tool are Milwaukee mostly and a few Makita. Full price on these your better off with the other brands.
