Why isn’t there a big timeline of stories set in the same universe going from Stonepunk > Sandalpunk > Dunjonpunk > Clockpunk > Steampunk > Teslapunk > Dieselpunk > Cyberpunk > Biopunk All in the same universe.

These videos are very helpful for understanding these genres, as I am trying to develop a game that is based around many of these. I would like to know if you could make a video about Post Apocalyptic styles, and the kinds of styles we see in that genre?

No rule against it but I’m not sure how…as they draw from to different energy types maybe if it was right in the middle of a shift between a clockpunk society and Tesla one I’d have the clockwork rusting do to stagnated use. Just my 2 cents

That sounds like it may be very interesting. I’m also working on building a world that combines clockpunk and teslapunk, I’m going to make it a more sci-fi horror with a esoteric occult feel. My world also has a little bit of spiritpunk, magneticpunk and chemicalpunk, which I invented myself. The setting of my story is snowpunk.

funny thing is... I have a book on Tesla's work. all his blue prints and theories whatever is left of the man's mind in a giant classic hardcover book. I so far found one flaw from what I have read: He didn't believe the Hoover damn would work. he didn't believe in the power of hydraulics. shame.

I've seen elements of tesla punk in Command and Conquer: Red Alert (Tesla coils/troopers/tanks, and other janky sci-fi- stuff). The problem that I see with the idea of Teslapunk isn't in the aesthetic or fun-factor, but the difficulty in the worldbuilder's imagination that would cause their fiction to gravitate towards dieselpunk and/or Atompunk (contemporary with one and "magnetized" to the other... teehee). I suppose you could alter timelines to keep nuclear fission from becoming a focal point of applied science (although I do remember Tesla dying before WWII ended) and also avoid the space race or the Cold War from interfering with your zappity-zap; acoustical-resonance-shaking adventure. Other than that, I see tesla punk as a logical next step in the evolution of dieselpunk. Having those two punks join forces in one powerchord-lovin' band would prove most epic. But man!... stuff in the 20th century happens at a rollercoaster-pace. I mean we're talking leap-froggin' it up from: horse-n-buggy to biplanes-flybois to modern aerospace engineering in the time it takes me to make a reservation to the cheap nursing home. I have a similar complaint against Atompunk. It's difficult to stick with bubble-cars and land-rover-shagmobiles in space for Capt.Proton when grabbing silicone to create and weaponize the microprocessor is such an obvious thing to exploit (hindsight being 20/20). Don't get me wrong, I do have a list of reasons for enjoying Atompunk, but I'll spare you that essay for now.

I get that it’s one I have with fantasy genre. “Wait this kingdom been around for howl long?…and their hasn’t been a revolution or someone by accident invent a steam engine?” It’s one of those things you just have to turn your brain off and be. Yeah that’s just how the world is. But I get your point.

Croatian? He is Serbian, his father was a Serbian orthodox priest, his mother was named Georgina, she was born in a Serbian village by the name of Gospic and it's is from her that he inherited his brilliant mind. At his funeral he wanted "Tamo Daleko" to be played, that's one of the best known Serbian songs. Yes, he was born in Austria-Hungary, on the territory of what is today Croatia but he was 100 percent Serbian. Croatians slaughtered most of his family and burned his family home during ww2, the only living Tesla descendant (from his brother) is living in a Serbian town of Smederevo and her name is Daniela.

While I’m sure your correct. I did not do a look at Tesla outside of his genius but the doc didn’t say he was Croatian. He said he was Croatian born as in born in Croatia which he was.
