Yes until the age of 6yrs old we operate on theta brain waves which is highly programmic, it soaks up any suggestion, comment, information we recieve, it is like you are in hypnosis, you are not able to use logic and critical thinking to accept them as untrue and discard them. You brain stores them deeply in your subconscious mind. If that information is coupled with a strong emotion (hurt for example) it becomes our subconscious programme that runs our lives. So if you perceived as a child that you are not enough, not lovable which usually happens when you are void of love, attention, nurture and care this belief will rule your life and ruin many things unless you work on it and reprogramme your subconscious mind to believe the opposite that you are enough and lovable! That is why it is crazy important for parents to be super mindful when they raise kids esp when their kids are at that age.

@Karin Korenkova "No one is born ugly" meaning that though some people call you ugly there are still some people who think they are beautiful. Just like you said "beauty can be in the eye of the beholder". "We just live in a judgemental society" no one should call someone ugly just because you find them ugly because ugly and beautiful should be judged by them on the inside. Mostly the people who call others ugly are called ugly by others so if a 100 stops everyone stops. Together we should defend everyone and judge beauty not by the outside but the inside. Just like we all have different understandings we all have standards for beauty but we should keep them to ourselves and love eachother not for their looks but their personality.

@@user-oh1mk6qq8u If someone is bad looking few people will think they are good looking while the majority will think they aren’t and vice versa. That is an indisputable fact. Its nice to say this isnt true for motivational purposes but sadly that isnt the case.
@user-oh1mk6qq8u
@user-oh1mk6qq8u 3 жыл бұрын
@@thelastpigeon8098 Hmm let's look at this. What do you mean by that "bad looking"? Huh by your standards? That bad looking is chosen by us not anyone else. Korea and most of Asia likes fair skin but America likes tanned skin so if you are tanned in front of the people that like fair skin (an example) and consider it as beauty then you are bad looking in their eyes and same goes with people who liked tanned skin. It also happens to eye size, lip size, lip color, weight, height and the list goes on. If someone is the opposite of what the people in their country state or city consider as beauty then they are bad looking to them but still good looking in the place where they consider what they are as beauty so they still are beautiful. Your statement was true but also quite wrong. The people decide who is beautiful and who isn't. One might find you bad looking but others might find you good looking. Let's say there is a most beautiful women and man in the world. Then, you are exposed to the people from all over the world. Do you say that that particular person will be considered beautiful by everyone? At first sight without knowing that particular person is the most beautiful few or many may think they aren't that beautiful or beautiful at all. But if the people keep saying that "they are the most beautiful" over and over again that can mold your opinion and you'll call them beautiful. Same goes with people who are considered ugly. People influence people. There is no change to that.

Being forgotten. I always try to stay in people‘s memories by being kind, cheerful, funny etc, but in the end i always assume i‘m not important enough in their lives to be remembered. I guess in the end, i feel like i‘m not valuable enough as a person. I‘m always surprised when people want to catch up after some time or i hear that people have been wondering about how i‘ve been doing. As a result, i get crushes very, very easily since i misinterpret common actions as a friend as more meaningful attention.

I remember in high school I once told this girl she was so skinny, like soooo skinny, and I genuinely meant it as the best compliment because I loved her body and wished I looked like her. At the time I didn't think how it made her feel but I remember her just standing there with a shy smile and she didn't say thank you which I didn't understand because if someone told me I looked skinny I would of probably been the happiest I could of been... Her friends just stared at me and idk the whole situation makes me cringe when I think about it, we were all in drama class and I don't ever remember having another conversation with her but every now and then I think about the comment I made and how it probably made her feel... I would *never* make a comment about someone being overweight, so then I should never make a comment on someone being underweight either... Lesson learned

My sister is skinny and very insecure. She is trying to gain weight. She is flat and she wants a butt and everything. She is 21 almost but she looks 10-12 years old because of her body and she doesn’t want people thinking she’s anorexic. She doesn’t look it to me but others who do not know her could think that. She hates when people mention her body. It’s one of her main insecurities. She eats a lot of snacks and fast food and she gains a pound a month. That’s how my older brother was. He’s still skinny but he would be made fun of by my other brothers. All bodies are beautiful.

I used to be sooo insecure of like, everything- I thought my bad skin, me being skinny and socially awkward would always get me replaced. I was pretty shy, sensitive and scared of people. I felt like I could never be more outgoing but I wanted it so much and I felt like people could never like me as much as they did like my friends. Friends in general have always been so important to me. Now I overcame it mostly, I’m pretty confident and I own my weirdness. It felt like a huge weight being taken off my shoulders. But I still can’t handle the bad parts of my personality and I think they don’t either. The two boyfriends I had always had problems with me being overly emotional. I try not to be dramatic but it’s hard being inside your head all the time.

@@wellplague i somehow can relate to you , though i don't know if that's what people call 'insecurity' , i feel nervous whenever i go outside, it's like all people stare at me , and wherever i go , i am always judged, i don't have any friends i can rely on , I've never told anyone about my feelings , i can't trust anyone . I hate it so much when people stare at me , i get the fact that I'm a mixed race and that they aren't used to seeing me but i wish i can just be ignored , when i meet people they have 'big' expectation from me , but when they see anything they don't like in me , they criticise me , this is somehow started to hate every single person i see . But i changed because of many things that happened to me , like bts for example , because of them , i somehow changed , trying to understand that everything has a reason ,maybe those people who hate me are as stressed out as i am , that's why they don't accept me as one if them , because of differences . I don't really blame them , seeing the real side of our world . I still hate going outside, but i think ,growing up , I'll be able to overcome it , the reason why I'm telling this is : i saw your username, seems like you're also a fan of bts , don't worry , you are beautiful and you don't need to be depressed , just remember what bts tells us , to 'love ourselves' , people are different , you don't have to be like everyone, you should be yourself , because that's what beauty is about , having a good personality, a good way if seeing things , you should know that you're special.

I'm hard on myself too. Just do the things that make you happy. For me, I always have to be setting goals or working towards something. But, after a while, I noticed I wasn't setting time aside for myself. I was only focusing on my running career and school and video games. I found that when I cleaned up around the house a little ( not even 5 min.) and just sat on my bed, for around an hour thinking about life I felt a lot better after.

The girl that said her mom made comments about herself and that trickled down to her really made me think. Kids pay attention to everything. I am super hard on myself and constantly talk down to myself because I’m overweight. I can’t be this way when I have children. That was such a wake up call

doing this bc I feel like sharing is some form of overcoming or smthn: -growing up with a lot of siblings with judgement and competition I used sarcasm as a defense so much that I have trouble being sincere and vulnerable without being aggressive or argumentative -playing dumb when I don't want to be intimidating/annoying, I am already intimidating with being a tall girl but I guess another insecurity would be my height -feeling like I only have worth if I contribute to the group in conversation or whatever else -struggling to be satisfied alone, being my own motivator etc.-- im getting better in quarantine lol -struggling to follow through because I have a fixed mindset because I was labeled as "gifted" as a kid which always made me scared of not reaching people expectations yay insecurities are fun

Funny thing is I believed him. Because I think people are told "every one has something they are insecure about" and I don't think that's true. I think confident people are misjudged as vain or full of themselves but if they weren't the'd be full of others idea of them and there is when the insecurity is formed. Being full of oneself leaves no room for others ideas of you especially if they are false and limited. Does that make any sense?
