Well there's two ways to think about this... you have actors who are bigger celerities than writers who are probably gonna be one of the main source of marketing the stuff. And second you run into problems like a film having shitty writing and having a list actors... clearly cases like this the pay difference is kinda obvious. Besides... it's not like writers don't get the recognition when are truly the real deal. Writers/ directors like Nolan, Scorsese , Denis or other great filmmakers and screenwriters get as much attention or maybe even more.

I don't use labels for my gender or my sexuality besides "queer" if I have to. I don't like using them on myself but I'm happy if others find use in their labels. I think we should think hard about what they do for us though and if we need them all the time
@theswamps6589 Жыл бұрын
I can understand where youre coming from, however I also think that this is more true in Internet conversation that in reality. Yes people in the community are very sensitive to pronouns, but when it comes from someone thats normative I think the motivation is often an unwillingness to see their own position in the debate and feeling like they cant have a say because of being straight or cis in general, while in reality its really not that difficult and a mild amount of sensibility will get you there, I personally dont know anyone thats offended by being misgendered, it only gets weird if you make it and start to be super apologetic, and also if you dont respect someones wish to be labeled as whatever, if you want to avoid it just use a persons name and your good... I dont like when people that dont know what it feels like to, like you, have to explain themselves all the time, act like they are somehow harmed by pronouns or by being careful of how they phrase stuff. Your point is probably more akin to "The problem we are facing stems from labels, so why would labels change that?" and I do sympathise with it.. Its just very difficult or impossible to find a way that satisfies and includes everyone, my key priority is to make people that are discrimminated on a daily basis feel like they belong, if thats accomplished by using pronouns then im fine with it.
@ShayanGivehchian Жыл бұрын
I actually don't think the community itself is that focuses on it. I think they just had labels and those with identity issues saw the opportunity and jumped on it like "ooh free labels"
@ImperialistKing Жыл бұрын
I don't think this is a concern with the queer community. Separation of identity is a pretty universal human characteristic and it's something we see throughout history. It's quite ironic that a universal element human culture is the desire to be different. We seek solidarity among common issues alongside the unique expression and beliefs of ourselves. I like to call it the Grand Unifying Theory of Niche. There's a reason why religions have denominations, representative democracies have parties and subcultures exist within subcultures.

(They did not, in fact, want to or deserve to die.) And I am so sorry for my many peers who lost their lives in their teens or 20s UNINTENTIONALLY while using. Disgusting. With the label thing, I believe that labels can help give a sense of identity and I personally like using them, but I believe everybody should be able to choose for themselves whether they want to use labels or not
@godofthecripples1237 Жыл бұрын
The problem is that labels always lead to the same: people putting each other in boxes, telling other people about those boxes, and everyone getting confused (and then upset) when other people either don't follow the same boxes or refuse them altogether. Sexuality, gender identity, these things are fluid. It's like trying to put a name to every possible shape of water. It just doesn't work.
@supersillyus3r Жыл бұрын
@@godofthecripples1237 yeah but i feel like its similar to shapes: some shapes have names, but a lot of them are a lot more irregular and harder to describe/ less often used so they dont have a name. Just because some shapes are harder to name doesnt mean that shapes shouldnt be named altogether. For example, its easier to describe a square as a square than say “a four-sided shape where all sides are the same length and all of the angles are equal to 90*” (for example describing being a lesbian as loving non-men). Even knowing that a shape is a square, you don’t know the size of the square (so when someone says they’re a lesbian you don’t know whether or not they would date lets say a bigender person/ if they are only romantically interested in non-binary people) And obviously there are way too many shapes, you cant name every single one. Additionally, if people force labels onto others, thats a different problem. Just because some people dont use labels as they should be used, doesnt mean that you should get rid of them altogether Edit: i feel like umbrella terms such as asexual could be “quadrilaterals” in this metaphor. There as billions of different quadrilaterals, but saying that a shape is a quadrilaterals gives us a clue about the shape.

If you're going to make the argument that Christianity is only "natural" to the ethnic group in which it was founded, then it would only be natural to Middle Eastern folks, not Europeans. Not to trivialize the issue that Europe and people of European descent really took some inhumane measures to convert folks from other ethnic groups and cultures to Christianity, and in my experience that seems to have been responsible for a lot of inter-generational trauma.

Hot Take: Silver is a metal. Anything that has the same colour as silver is going to be silver in colour. That's like an orange is a fruit. Anything that has the same colour is called orange in colour. If I can colour something with a pencil, then a pencil is a colour. It doesn't matter if it's a shade, a primary, or some mixed creation of colour. It is still colouring. The only reason people get stuck on this is because of the technology we had in the beginning of photography and television. That is the only reason. So get over it. The word "shade" had to do with shadows originally. No matter the type of colour, it could be shaded. That's why there are so many shades of red, yet they are all still colours.🤯 Because every single shade is absolutely a colour, even the grey shades.😊

The tipping one I personally don't understand however I'm in the UK where its usually optional. - I only tip when I think the service was decent or really good. If the service is bad what am I tipping for, so they can continue their bad service... - although I do try to tip when the service is decent or good, there have been times when I haven't due to simply being quite low on cash. Now some people say "why you eating out if your low on cash" simply because its my money and I choose to spend however I want. And just because I'm broke, as long as I know that I'm being paid soon I still like to enjoy myself with my friends/family - even when I don't tip, I never feel bad. A lot of the times resturants have the money to pay their workers more, I dont think the responsibility of the resturant not paying the workers enough should land directly on customers

People like to think just because 18/19 is “legal” that any age gap is okay when it’s not. And then people will compare their ADULT PARENTS age gap when it’s not the same for people who are already well adjusted into their adult years. Like people who met in their late 20’s or 30’s. There’s no reason you being in your MID 20’s should want to be with someone who JUST got out of highschool and is just starting their adult life, 18/19 still has TEEN the end of it. Lol, and it doesn’t matter what the gender is either. People will be like “well if it was a women saying that it’d be okay” NO, it would still be odd. It doesn’t matter what gender you are. Because also that means when they were 16/17 you were still well into your 20’s like ummmm?

Out of curiosity, where’s the cutoff? Like 10 year gap is no big deal when… they’re both 20+? Like a working adult and a college student? Both 30+? How big is the gap allowed to be? I really don’t care, I just wanna read what people think is the right and allowed age
@Moomoo0013 Жыл бұрын
@@AntiSoraXVI What seems like a small age gap in your older years (40yrs+) is a HUGE age gap in your younger years (18-35). 2 year age gaps are normally acceptable up until you’ve graduated college (22). At that point, most people would consider increasing to 4 years (so max of 26 years old w/ a 22 yr old). Once you’re in your mid 20s (25-26), your brain is fully developed and you should be well aware of others intentions at that point (and can theoretically date whoever as a newly full-grown adult)… but 5/6 years older (age 30) would be considered socially acceptable. From then on, I’d say anything bigger than 5 years would be okay, since you’d essentially be at the same stage in your life. The reason why people are completely taken aback by teenagers (and, frankly, undergrad college aged people) dating people 5-10 years their senior is because of the chasm difference in their behavior, maturity levels, and life experiences. There is absolutely NO reason for a 19 year old to date someone over 25, as @princesspower6446 said. They aren’t even 21 yet??? Also, what on earth would they be talking about anyway??? (and notice earlier, I said DATE, not sleep with. BIG difference). I would also say look at how old the older person was when the younger person was born. If they were in elementary school (K-5), at least they were a kid, and most likely in the same generation. But high school and beyond??? Listen… if they were old enough to biologically give birth to you, that’s a hard NO. Period. They say the seven age rule is a good measure to decide how many years your junior/ senior you can date without people giving you a major side-eye. One last thing… people who try to justify dating younger people CANNOT grapple with the fact that they are too immature to be compatible with someone their age. Women mature faster than guys which explains the onslaught of pedo men coming for teenage girls who just turned legal yesterday…(they can’t find women their age to develop a relationship with).
@AntiSoraXVI Жыл бұрын
@@Moomoo0013 22 and 26 is fine even though at 22 you’re typically fresh out of college and at 26 that’s a completely different stage? Do you really think a 19 year old and a 22 year old are that drastically different? 23 years old isn’t that different either, so they’re basically 19/20 at that point. Why just stop at 22? My question isn’t that I don’t understand why everyone sets these age rules and need them clarified. My question is about where you personally draw the line simply because I want to see the responses. I think it’s safe to say than your answer is just that there’s a 7 year gap limit and anyone younger than 25 is basically a child
