I went to the Chrism Mass in my diocese, a major event. I use and depend on a walker. As I entered the cathedral, about an hour early, I noticed that every single seat that I could use with my walker had been reserved for other persons and groups. As I turned to sit in the row of chairs against the back wall, I noticed signs stating that those chairs were ALL reserved for the Knights of Columbus, persons who were supposed to be there to serve others. My first instinct was to walk out, but I didn't. I finally got a seat way in the corner of the back where I could see nothing. I wondered how Christ felt when he was rejected by the Pharisees.
