Joe William Saudi Arabia is not bad at all. 1- Education: Hundreds of millions are being issued to develop it but people in the ministry of education steel it. 2- Medicines: Same as education. 3- Roads: even though we have an incredible budget for roads projects and they're supposed be one of the best in the world but when you drive with a coffee you can't avoid spelling it all over you and yes we have the highest death rate caused by cars accidents. I don't have to mention what happens when it rains every year. 4- Freedom of speech: 0 freedom and you can get behind bars just for tweeting some facts about the gov just like this I can get in serious trouble for this and sometimes you can even get killed for speaking against the gov. 5- Freedom of religion: Only Sunni islam is allowed in Saudi Arabia, there are minorities Shia and yzidies and can't practice without being bothered by the media and the moral police and yes you get killed if you convert from Islam to something else. For other religions such Christianity or judaism it's forbidden for them to open religious buildings or practice in public. 6- Entertainment: There's nothing actually to do when even no Cinema allowed in KSA except inside some private American camps. 7- Women rights: This country was made by men and women are seen as sex objects and not part of the Society they can't drive cars or have friendships with stranger men. 8- Homosexuality: It's very common among the youth but nobody talks about it and usually the one who gets fucked will be seen as a disgrace and live the rest of his life in sorrow but the fucker is praised by the ppl(his circle of lowlife friends) and if you're gay openly then you get punished by death. 9- Jobs: There are more than 25% unemployed Saudis with college degrees while there are 10mil foreign employees. 10- Poverty: More than 30% in the richest oil country are in the brinks of poverty or already poor and homeless yet they don't show that in the media. 11- Landscapes and antique buildings: All were demolished by the officials because in their religion(Wahhabism) it's forbidden. And the list goes on, I can sit here all day and write about the corruption that's happening in my country. Basically if you are a royal or backed up by someone is then you can have a good life here but if you don't which is 99% of the people are only considered as life stocks by the gov.

If you think you can't handle their life and that they life in hell, well they don't want your life either, they're protected, educated, live well eat well buy what they want.. But yeah keep telling how only a portion of woman aren't forced to wear the hijab, im sure the majority would get their faces beaten and their bones broken if they wanted to wear jeans
@myme82085 жыл бұрын
@@primulas2 calm down many Arab countries aren't like that. A person who thinks he can kill his daughter will be killed if he did it. Not all Arabia is like that. Saudi needs time. But we (arabs) definitely dont need feminism. I'm a women who is Arab I was raised with culture and religion I love both. Men can be stupid sometimes. But since I went to a mixed college I understood arab mens perspective more. There are alot of very educated and very gentle Arab men here. Some can be assess too but that's normal. A women's voice here is strong. We have the rights we need(talking about my Arab musliam county) . Some small things can change to the better but over all we live in peace. A man can't even dare touch a women. Imagine them cat calling (they can be arrested if we complained) but men here are just like men everywhere. Somethings you are right about like the testimony but to me that's really not a big deal it's a religious thing(I still didn't search deeper to know so I can't talk about it more) but I still think its not a big deal. There are somethings that lean more towards men in law which I find sexist but like I said overall its alright. We have women who are in high positions in the government. Alot of strong women figures too. And you might not understand fully but our cultures are in fact different. To us there are some limits(so we dont abuse other peoples rights) but in western countries you simply dont know where the limit is. Alot of freedom can be oppression of another person's freedom. There is a very thin line between freedom and the abuse of another person. Please understand even if Saudi did open up more it will never be the west. Because simple we choose to live with our own rules and guidelines our own culture. A culture you won't understand unless you lived in. And by the way if a women who works marries a man he (by law) should give her money and pay for the kids. And she can keep her money for herself and do with it what she wills. Why dont you talk about that? Isn't that oppression of men? Islam has guidelines it might not seem so fair in some aspects but there is a reason for everything. I respect men and I dont want to oppress them. And I know my rights in my country and my religion so I dont fear no man. Because I know my responsibilities and my rights. Haven't you noticed how many arabs write in English so clearly? We are educated. So many foreigners teach at colleges and they lived among us for years and they say we are very educated and can do alot too. We just simply want to live another life style that cant fit into your perspective or understanding. I dont blame you. After all you, unlike us was raised thinking everyone that isn't like you is not free and everyone who doesn't have democracy isn't free. I dont blame you after all it's the way your culture and environment had shaped you . Thinking feminism is going to save all women. We aren't blind. We can see what femiasiam did to the west and it's nothing to be proud of (at least not the recent feminism movement) all I see in the west is people pushing people down to be where they are. Here society succeeds and fails together no such thing as us and them. We call ourselves a family and the other Arab countries we call them brethren. We cant adjust to the west ideologies because we have lived like this for centuries but we can adapt the good things. Please have some respect to different cultures.

Some people talk negatively about Islamic culture because in many places where the governments profess to faithfully adhere to Islamic teaching rights are taken away from other religious groups and people can’t leave Islam without being murdered or facing extreme persecution. Until the Saudi government gives the right for Saudis to become Orthodox Christians and to build churches, proselytize and openly celebrate the Eucharist, we can’t even have a conversation about this because the violation of human rights/freedom in many of these countries is too extreme.

Its great that you focus on the country's good qualities, but to ignore that people, women in particular, have suffered, and continue to suffer, great injustices in SA. Life cant be a walk in the park for a woman that needs permission from her "guardian" to do things men do without needing permission from a "guardian". It cant be easy to find 6 men to back up your court case of domestic violence inflicted against you between the four walls of your home and at the hands of your husband....

Janell that’s all sharia law and I’m fine with it :) it’s because your non Muslim you don’t rlly understand the reasons n all. The permission thing is Islamic and every Muslim should do. It’s not just Saudis but if a Muslim rlly looks into their religion they will see that they have to. Tho because here in Saudi Arabia we have like I think four subjects on Islam (fiq, hadeeth, tafseer, toheed) so most know a lot about the religion and the reasons for the rules. Alhamdallah:)

@freespiritable6 жыл бұрын
@@mapnew33 you are not all the women in SA so don't say "we". You do not have that right dear. You can say "I am happy" and it's totally fine. Do not speak on behalf of other women pls. I was a muslim woman as well, as all the religions, it is so much about keeping women submitted. Even in the western world there are women who willingly put themselves into submission, but free will and forcibly imposed are two different things. As i said in another comment your perception of life is relative, it is based on what your parents inculcated in your mind, which religion they choose for you, every single thing is based on your family teachings. If you haven't tried the freedom of a woman in the west you can never tell the difference therefore whatever comparision you do would be vain. Causr you speak about assumptions, what they told you about the western world. Just like the west often misjudges you for not having an understanding of your world. You have no idea and you have the courage to speak on behalf of all, that's pretty risqué my dear. I was born in a muslim family, not like SA, in a moderated muslim country. But even with moderation i couldn't stand how it is based on the repression of women. It is sad that it isyour own mother who brainwashes you (every daughter ) to believe that you deserve submission, that "God" said so, his prophet (a man) said so, the men who make the laws say so. Sad indeed.

@bakay50956 жыл бұрын
Dr. Krieger sadly no such thing as actually open minded like the rest of the world but at least in terms of women can laugh in public and they can not cover their faces and such. I live in the capital and like 10 years ago it was absolutely socially unacceptable to walk with ur face uncovered.. i used to leave PRIMARY school in an all black from head to toe veil and the SOCKS has to be black too. I’m pretty sure tons of people will come and say im exaggerating bc they care about “the image” of islam or whatever
@idontevenknow86466 жыл бұрын
Dr. Krieger listen here. Leave religion out of this for a moment. Think of social norms. Wouldn’t it be weird if I went around wearing a head-to-toe black dress while covering my face with a burka in San Diego? Wouldn’t it? It would. Because that’s not what’s normal there. Same thing here. People are used to a certain social norm. If anyone went against that, it would be uncomfortable and weird.
@idontevenknow86466 жыл бұрын
Dr. Krieger okay first of all I don’t agree with anything these people are doing. I’m giving you the “social norms” crap because I believe in it. When I travel to England, for example, I don’t wear the abaya. Jeans and a long sleeved T-shirt are more than perfect. I am able to be true to my values without sticking out like a sore thumb. I see people in London walking around in abayas and even I, a muslim myself, get uncomfortable. Because that is not how social norms are there. Forcing others to comply to your own norms, in their own country and not yours, is undoubtedly wrong and I don’t agree with what these people are saying. But yeah, I am able to practice my religion without giving anyone any trouble, I don’t force it onto others, and that is something that a lot of Muslims do. They live amongst people and don’t try to change them.
@idontevenknow86466 жыл бұрын
Dr. Krieger these facts may trump my feelings, but I still hold true to them. I still stand up to what I believe is right. I still make sure people know that what they’re doing is contradicting to a lot of what they say. My opinion may not matter on the grand scale of things, but it does matter at the end. You, for example, didn’t expect to find a Muslim who thinks the way I do, did you not? Just the fact that I let someone know is enough for me. I may not be able to change their views, but I sure will try my best.

Q:👱🏻♀👱🏽♀ How life would be without (women)?!! For every girl & for every women, I say: You are the beauty of life. 🌞🌜You are the sun and the moon in every home. A woman is the mercy and the gentleness harshness Q: How much a woman is very important in our life? 1st. They are the reason of our existence. 2nd .🤱🤱They are our mothers. 3rd . They are our sisters. # They are the half of the society, and the other half is who women taking care of= MEN # When it comes to loyalty in marriage, wives win. That's why Life without Wife like 50 without 5 Sadly & unfortunately, there is a great violence and abuse against a woman. I don’t mean (the physical abuse). I mean, a woman is given a bad picture by some media and commercials; they undervalue & underestimate her by using her badly to gain money through exposing her inappropriately and other stuff like that. For them, a woman has become like goods/items in the market for those who pay more. In other words, they see a woman just like a sexualized object! They’re just focusing on a girl in her youth stage/period, but once she gets old, they neglect her; Just like the gum: You chew it, then you throw it! Honestly speaking, many campaigns and convections stand for women’s rights resulted in: abortion, same sex marriage and other things I fell shay to mention. Those bad kinds of men claim they want the freedom for women, but in fact, they want the free approach to women. Woman’s rights R not from humans, they are from her creator Finally, we came to the last part of this article. This is the most exciting part! (Women in Islam Religion) Note: If anyone wants to judge (women’s rights) in Islam, she or he should not judge according to what Muslim society does. The women’s rights in Islam should be based on the 2 authentic sources of Islam: 1st The holy Quran (is the Divine Book of Muslim). 2nd The Sunna of the prophet. So, if someone asks what Islam is? Simply, it is a way of life. Islam has raised the status of women and honored her more than any religion; Do you know that every Muslim woman is inheriting ; it is one of her basic rights to inherit what her parents or husband or relatives left after their death!! (Islam) took a great care of women in all stages of her life, here are few examples: • As in her childhood👧🏼, any father takes care of his daughters and treat them kindly; there will be a great reward waiting for him; his daughters will be the reason for him to be admitted in the Paradise (Heavenly Gardens)!! • A Woman in Islam as a mother, the right of the mother is far greater than the right of the father . A man came to Prophet Mohamed (the final and merciful Prophet)and said ,I.e. the man, "Who among people is most deserving of my best treatment?" He said, "Your mother". He again asked, ''Who next?" "Your mother", the Prophet replied again. He asked, "Who next?" He said again, "Your mother." He again asked, "Then who?" then your father, then your nearest, then your nearest." Why is a mother having this great status over the father? Because: A mother, who used to hold you And clean you and clothes you A mother, who used to feed you And always be with you When you were sick She stay up all night Holding you tight Cause who used to hear you Before you could talk Cause who used to hold you Before you could walk And when you cry Who wiped your tears? Knows your fears Who really cares? your mother Islam keens on the stability and safety of the family. Because the family is the primary factor in forming the social entity. Islam gives a special care for a woman. Women's corruption is greater than the corruption of the young man, because it will become a mother and the corruption of the mother means the corruption of bringing up the child who in the future will become a young man or a corrupt man and this means the society completely becomes corrupt. That's why some media are focused on women. A woman in Islam is like a princess👰🏻. And when she gets old, she become like a queen👸. Media can make a cat like a lion. Media can make you to hate what you like, and to like what you hate (if and only if) you believe anything without checking from the original sources. The easiest way to destroy your enemy is to destroy the reputation. If you have a pain in your tooth, you will go to the dentist, not to the engineer. Same goes for Islam, Ask Muslim about Islam. Things go like this. After you have read all the above, I leave you to compare between them. www.islamswomen.com www.islamreligon.com

I love Saudi! It’s so peaceful. Whenever I’m there my heart finds peace especially in Medina and Mecca, it brings me such happiness and joy knowing that the Prophet (SAW) walked these same areas. And i love how I can wear the abaya and no one cares how i look. I don’t even think about wearing makeup because I don’t have to succumb to looking a particular way over there. Idk i can’t explain it but it’s a simple way of living. To me I find that so freeing especially coming from the west where everyone judges you for what you wear and looks down on Islamic clothing. Women in Jeddah aren’t forced to wear niqab, they actually want to..so 🤷🏽♀️. People believe everything they hear on the news but in all frankness the people and landscape is nice but the government is corrupt. And all these politisés of “modernization” is just cosmetics to fool the western world and keep them distracted from what’s really going on. The government is going to get worse, believe me.

it was almost 6 years ago, but the situation is different now with the pandemic atmosphere which is not over yet and it is a little sad to be able to go for Umrah there because of several additional requirements that must be met 😭

Nischal Khan wait I have 50 characters for a name? Yeah but the people are backwards, even in Pakistan where 1/5 of all honour killings happen people just tend to act barbaric.

Yeah it's true. When I used to visit Saudi Arabia in my summer vacations ( my dad worked there) I felt that it was a closed door society, something totally different from Indian society. Also because there is such organised separation of women and men, it was unlikely that you would find a man talking freely with a woman. But one good thing about this was you could see that men actually respect women because they are not treated as sexual desires, rather they are seen as entities because of the burqa. But I still feel that this burqa must become a choice, only then can Saudi move towards a more progressive society and set a good example of a Muslim country.

Salman Salahuddin, I don't think that they "respect" women, they just do not become sexually aroused by them because of what they are wearing. If there were men who truly respected women, the women would be treated with respect regardless of what she wore. As long as what she wore was in good taste.
