School built a habit of procrastination in me and gave me anxiety
@Olicha1236 жыл бұрын
Maybe school didn't. You did
@baque7686 жыл бұрын
Gabriel Ximénez I disagree, I think school does have the ability to make a procastinator of someone because it takes away free time (after school) and it most of the time very boring. So for some People these situations Will make you procastinate more. I am also one of those People.

they're only successful because they had goals to attain and worked diligently toward it. If you're procrastinating after school, what's to say that you wouldn't procrastinate once you quit? You won't have something that you *need* to get up to do, so what's to stop you from never getting out of bed?

One thing school did for me was completely turned me away from reading books. Im now geting back to reading but its not thanks to school. Also more you are interested in what grades you have, less you are interested in actually learning stuff.

I learned more from watching nearly a hundred videos on writing fictional narratives in the span of half a year than most of my English Teachers could have taught me. So, basically, KZbin taught me more than school did in a more effective, efficient, and time-saving method

Good talk. It points us in the direction we should be going. Sadly economic considerations take precidence over higher motives. School will continue to fail many children.

I hate tests. Honestly, I preform well, but I feel like it breaks my school’s motto of only demonstrating you know something once. I get high scores, but now I kinda wish my parents stopped bringing up how high my scores are.

i remember being grades star during kindergarten was much fun than being grades with alphabet and score. learning at school not that fun more to memorizing not learning things. kudos to those teacher that teach with passion and creativity

You don't need good marks to do well in the world, what you need is this: brain. Brain development is experience dependent. Motivated efortul repeated trial am error experimental interactions with the environment. Exercise it, the brain is a muscle kind of. What should school be for? Building the brain. School is usually for learning things. That's not an environment designed to build a brain. There are consequences chasing the test scores. 4 day school week made scores go up. Tests predict nothing on the economic development of a country. Give me an example of a time when you solved an analytically difficult problem. They want people who can innovate who are creative who can communicate who can collaborate within the company and the customers.

this really doesn't say much about 'what school could be or should be,' just vaguely says the brain develops in this way and testing sucks. literally anyone under the age of 25 could have told you that

Maturita.also maturitni skouska.. I think this is the end of the Czech equivalent of high school, to determine where they rank and are placed in college. From google: Maturita is the name of the universal leaving qualification of four-year secondary schools and is a requirement for university studies and higher professional schools. It is made up of a number of subjects.

the concept of the "test" is a sound concept if in school there were only one class of that cariculum being taught by one teacher to that one class. the test that was made up by that one teacher given to that one class would be a fair judgement on what was learned after being taught. If the exam is created by 3rd party pears and made to reflect what should have been learned after being taught that class then you are not only testing the person attending the class but the teacher who put together the course coriculum. How did i fair against others? well which others? the ones in my class or the ones in other classes or the ones that had taken test crated by third parties? did the test show that my brain grew, my brain did not grow, my brain shrank??
