I’m just wondering if we are bringing in all these slot options to make Calvin Austin part of a trade package? It would help soften the blow of losing him some and maybe soften the blow on draft capital.

No they like Calvin so they wouldn’t trade him us bringing in the slot. Options is just to give competition and to see who else we could add for depth and special teams play

@@YoMahjTv I’m sure they do but if they can offer him in a package for an Aiyuk or another top receiver I think they’d do it. They may like him but I highly doubt he’s off limits in trade talks.

I think people are underestimating Freiermuth and GP being surrounded by 4 WRs that have 4.3 speed with Russ that can launch it. We can pick apart all levels of the field

No there really isn't. The cupboards are picked clean. We may end up having to develop a guy. Steelers are in too good of a place to overpay. And really one more good draft away from having a monster of a team. Is hard to swallow that they are so close to being able to give Hommie a run for his money.

Thank god the majority of them won't make the roster. I do think they got something in Patterson. He legit could be our number 2 WR with some grooming. In this new system, he may be too valuable as a returner to risk his neck. People forget that in addition to being a servicable RB he was also a solid receiver with strong hands and good rac ability.

He was a monster in the downfield game. I can still vividly remember some of those 85+ yard receptions. But, he had younger gunslinger Ben throwing the rock. And he has burned out. Dude has partied it up for too many years.
