What Seeds To Sow In January

How lucky you are that you can have all those wonderful vegetables fresh in early spring. As it is too cold here with the ground frozen the only thing I can grow is my herbs in a hydroponic garden. At least I can have all my fresh herbs for cooking.

I normally sow my brassicas in February in my cold greenhouse and they’ve germinated fine …I did a video years ago to show people you could even though in this cold weather

Oh amazing I've got some purple top turnip seeds coming, great to know I can get those started. Been itching to get growing, onion seeds are done. Can't wait to see the balcony full of green again!

Hi Gem, really good video on what to sow in January. I'm sowing onion seeds at home today. Tried it last year and far better than onion sets as they always bolt. Never going back to sets. thanks for sharing and take care 😊

Hi Christine 👋 I will be doing some onion seeds too but probably next month, I've already got sets in I started a few months ago, I did a lot as sure half of them will bolt, like you say. You’re the same zone as me, that’s good to know - plenty of opportunities to copy what you’re doing 😂 i do have some red cabbage that I potted on, but not put out in the greenhouse, so will do that. They are annoying aren't they 😫 I bottom water and try not to keep the soil too wet, it helps a little 👍
