Is Detachment the Path to Enlightenment ? Hmmmm..... well one things for sure ... the persuit of satisfaction in the material world is endless. There is never really enough to satisfy. Bigger houses....faster cars... higher definition TV's.....bigger , better drugs .....more and more tastier food..... there is no real point of satiation, only constant craving.
Thats what this song attempts do examine. What happens in the life of a person who is constantly chasing unobtaina ble satisfaction. Bigger , better, faster stronger. Absolutely no peace.. because peace only comes by abandoning attachment to material. Ecstasy is really achieved by detaching from all attachment to the physical world.
All she ever really wanted .....was what she could not have.
