Couldn’t agree with H3CZ view on the Cod scene more. It genuinely seems like OpTic and Faze are the only ones who have ever tried to grow the COD scene. From day one they have made content, and we have seen what that grew into. Imagine if every team in the league made their players participate in content like H3CZ does. The scene would be so much bigger and other teams would have more fans, it’s inevitable. Also, wild what you said about the retirement fund and Apathy. I’ve never thought about it like that but it couldn’t be more true. The OG players who built this scene but didn’t focus on building a platform, sacrificed so much to build the scene that we love and interact with daily and yet since the scene hasn’t taken off they aren’t as appreciated or as compensated as they should be. damn. Great episode.
@suwhup5423 жыл бұрын
It’s also on the players, for example, LAG makes content but I would’ve never known that if not for zoomaa reacting to it and being in his stream at that time, the LAG players don’t really stream or promote the content so how is anytime supposed to know that they are trying to build a brand and make content, Ben j nassim take is that there’s been no LANs to help those teams build a brand but when 80% of the crowd on any LAN is optic, you really done have much room for growth there, and when new people get into competitive cod, the first thing they see is the optic guys streaming so they most likely become optic fans. It’s on the players to build the brand too not just the teams

@clivemagowan88222 жыл бұрын
I love these interviews man, and not just getting to know the players it's the topics of conversation. I'm 33 years old and I still think competitive cod and multiplayer cod rules but I'm also aware that is on a downward trend especially with the likes of warzone and games like apex and different br's coming into the scene. I'm from Northern Ireland and the mindset here about gaming isn't hyped enough. Theres no real community from a gaming stand point, I mean there is some like rocket league and things like that with the game centres. But nothing major like halo or call of duty I just feel like lots more could be done to help promote these young kids that we don't about with crazy talents to try and bring them to the surface. Instead theyre playing warzone or apex they might stream a little and then the dream they once had fades away when they could have been the next formal or shotzy. I'm a trash player I'm like advanced rank 3 this year in the vanguard league play. Doesn't bother me Im still loving the fact that I get to play the game the way I get to see you guys reverse sweep faze and then kick their ass in the finals. Honestly listening to hecz and watching shotzy as a young kid with a dream and got there makes me just to create content, set up local lan events, get some sort of community going you know, shit is so inspiring. I just think that America is always that step ahead because of their great mindset. For exame the 'eu' teams in cod. Are they even really EU teams besides the ravens? I just think there isn't enough being done. And in some ways it's limited I get it with the age restrictions on the game etc. But there is ALOT more that could be done locally and nationally in the EU and the UK in particular to help promote competitive call of duty because Thier answer is game battles and challengers and it's just not cutting it personally for me. Enough of the rant! Optic fucking rocks! Dashy still got the straightest shot in the game baby! And I'm no big shot streamer or I've not got big bags behind me but I've got ideas and dreams and I will help uplift the gaming community around me and hopefully who knows maybe it will get big and become a national or even global but what matters is I'm gonna try!
