They have had a lot of grit and matrix, I think it’s made the dropping wet. I will be glad when they are weaned. Lol

How long do you keep your young birds on breeding wean Joe i do try and slowly add extra wheat every second or 3rd day when they are about between 6-8 weeks

@@DenisWynne-x5d to be honest once they are weaned and in the flyers loft. They will be on breed and wean and barley 50/50. I got the maple beans this year to help build them up before they are weaned. Because once they are on the roof I need to keep them a bit short.

Hi Joe, that's a nice kitbox compared to the flying loft and the droppers.. It's less work eventually for you.. Babies looking good especially those reds with white tails there are multiple this season.

@@Murf-cz1iv it just worked for me. On at 6 then off at 9 . When I go to bed I can see from the house that they are off. The extra light is to make the birds think that it’s spring so they think it’s time to breed.

Looks fantastic, I always like to reinvent the loft conditions. It's the little things that improve the loft. I can suggest fastening the perches to the wire floor on the back side. You can predrill a hole through the wooden perch, then fasten it to the wire floor in the back. Try one long screw and see if it holds. Then, place a small piece of wood angled in the back for the droppings.

It’s a different one. Also the wire is now set in place I can’t get to the underside of it. Definitely going for a slopping piece of wood along the back. Did you fly them 8 today?

@jmayes36 Okay, that sounds like a plan. I flew only 4 hens today. I released it at 7:08 in the morning and they come down at 11:37. It's not a good flight, but it is still a work in progress.

@@RedEyeLoft why didn’t you put the 8 up as normal ? Are you going to fly the others another day?

@jmayes36 The plan was to separate 2 teams out of the eight. I want to fly the other 4 this coming week.

That’s what I did when it was on the other wall. (A back wall) But I always thought I lost too much space. Wicks has some shiny white back boards .Maybe!

I made a video about My droppers kit box. You could check it out. It was cheap just wish I had space for a larger one.

I like the background music when I’m working in the loft. I have one in each loft. It’s on more in the fly loft as the birds in training are in individual boxes most of the time. But no not 24/7
