I don't currently have an active RN license, but I agree with the caller that the list of to-do's, such as paperwork, can get in the way of building meaningful relationships with your patients. I was thinking maybe the caller would be interested in being a (pediatric) mental health nurse practitioner. That would not require such a drastic shift.

Oh my!....I am speechless...I am absolutely in the same boat as the caller Averig...this conversation hit me so hard in the stomach, I almost doubled over...opened the gates to turbulent emotions.... Here is my personal advice to you young lady, as a veteran nurse, trained, skilled and knowledgeable in many different fields in nursing: Run girl, Averig, run! Run and be brave enough to change your carrier while you are young, while you are free of hard financial commitments...Live your dream!... Please!... Ken is right! You can combine your education and your passion for photography to channel it into something beautiful. It is possible. Where there's a will there's a way. Be creative. The day to day situation in healthcare system will not get better. That's the reality. The pressure on us as professionals increasing day by day. I wish you best of luck! 💓
