Was with this until the guy started rattling on about how at the role of women in leadership allowed for the expression of 'emergent properties' i.e. less hierarchical (?) work structures ~ 42:00 . First, this is a terrible misunderstanding of what a dynamic system is. Second, women are as hierarchical as men. However, male hierarchies tend to be overt. Female hierarchies tend of be covert and instantiated through social relationships. There is alot of evidence that overt hierarchies are fairer and less psychologically damaging than the alternative (example: your boss telling you to your face that they are unhappy with your performance is better, ultimately, than your boss starting a whispering campaign through affilitative networks).
