What shouldn't be used in Shiva Worship? ll Lord Shivas Devotee

Lord Shiva is the only god who is soon pleased with the worship of his devotees. But it is important to know the method of worshipping him.The most auspicious day of Shiva worship is Monday and a large gathering of devotees can be seen in this Shiva temples.Among all the Devas, Shiva is the only God who becomes very happy with the devotion and worship of his devotees.
Shiva Bhole is considered to be Adi and Anant who is seated in every element from earth to sky and water to fire.Many things are offered in Shiva Puja which is not offered to any other deity, such as Aank, Bilvapatra, cannabis etc.Similarly, there are many such things in Shiva Puja which may harm you instead of giving you the fruits of your worship.
1. Turmeric: Turmeric increases the taste of catering as well as turmeric has been considered an important place in religious functions.But turmeric is not offered in the worship of Shiva. Turmeric is mainly used in cosmetics.According to the scriptures, Shivling is a symbol of masculinity, that is why turmeric is not offered to Mahadev.
2. Flowers: Shiva does not like red flowers except Kaner and Kamal. It is forbidden to offer Ketki and Kevade flowers to Shiva.
3. Kumkum or Roli: According to the scriptures, Kumkum and Roli are not applied to Shiva.
4. Shankh is prohibited in Shiva worship: Shankh is very dear to Lord Vishnu but Shiva ji killed a demon named Shankhchur, hence Shankh is considered taboo in worshiping Lord Shiva.
5. Coconut water: One should not abdicate Lord Shiva with coconut water as coconut is considered to be the form of Lakshmi, hence coconut is taken as a Prasad in all auspicious work.After being offered to Mahadev, coconut water is no longer acceptable.
6. Tulsi: Tulsi leaf should also not be offered to Lord Shiv. In this context, there is a story of Asur Raj Jalandhar, whose wife Vrinda became a plant of Tulsi. Shivaji had killed Jalandhar, so Vrinda had said not to use Tulsi leaves in the worship of Lord Shiv.
These 6 things shouldn't be offered to Lord Shiva so now here are the things which should be offered to him.Things to offer in Shiva worship: Water, milk, curd, honey, ghee, sugar, perfume, sandalwood, saffron, cannabis.Mixing all these things together or one thing can be offered on Shivling. It has been told in Shivpuran that bathing the Shivling with these things fulfills all desires.
10 things and their advantages we get after offering them to Shiva
1. Offering water on the Shivling while chanting mantras calms our nature. The behavior is affectionate.
2. It is said that there will be sweetness in our speechif we offer honey.
3. Offering milk provides good health to us.
4. Our behaviour gets serious if we offer curd.
5. By offering ghee on Shivling, our power increases.
6. Giving a bath with perfume to Shiv Ling makes our thoughts pure.
7. Our personality gets attractive by offering sandalwood to Shiva. Honor is received in society.
8. By offering saffron, we get mildness.
9. Our dirts and evils from inside are removed by offering cannabis.
10. Happiness and prosperity increases by offering sugar.

Coconuts are offered to Lord Shiva everywhere.Green tender coconuts are used in Abhishekam. White flowers are favourite of Lord Shiva. But red flowers are also offered. In Shiva panchakshyar stotram it has been mentioned - Mandar ( hibiscus) pushpa bahu pushpeshu pujitay tasmai Ma karay namah shivay. Jay Sivasambhu. 🙏🙏

@@albenael2519 Any type of oil should not be used in the pooja (worship) of any God . We can use oil to light lamps (diya) on certain occasions. Only chameli and sesame oil are put over the body of Lord Hanuman and mustard and sesame oil are used in the pooja of Lord Sanidev ( Planet Saturn)

Bilvapatra is also offered lord venkateshwara exumptions in this video 1.turmeric is offered to shiva in ardhanaareshwara form 2.lord shiva like red and white colours so red roses,mandaar also included 3.kumkum is favourite for lord shiva ,in lingashtakam it is cleary mentioned kumkuma chandana lepitha lingam,and also in shiva tandava sthothram sthanothu kruthi sindhura so we can offer kumkum to lord shiva. 4.shank is also used in shiva puja because shiva always carry shank and with shank he drank haalahal. 5.coconut is form of lakshmi is true and lakshmi is aatma of lord shiva and 3 eyes on coconut represent lord shiva so coconut is not prohibitted

Shiva Lingam is not a male organ, Shiva Purana says it, Linga Purana too, vedas too. Lingashtakam as well. "Paratparam Paramatmaka Lingam Tat Pranamami Sara Shiva Lingam" I salute to the Linga, which is forever auspicious, which is the only symbol of the supreme being. Do not mislead. The oldest Linga might look like that, but it was surely carved. Carved by someone who had s## in his mind. This video has many errors, in Lingashtakam it says "Kum Kuma Chandana Lepita Lingam" it means "The Linga which is covered/decorated by Kum Kuma and Chandana." Being a katta Shaiva, the saying that Tualsi is not supposed to be given to Lord Shiva is fake. This was used to degrade Vaishnavas. In Shiva Astottaram Shatanama Stotram, in the Phala Shruthi it says "Pushpaischa Tualsi Dalaih" Means "offering him flowers and TUALSI" Vrinda was just in pain and started scolding Shiva (like someone would do) You missed the part of the story where Lord Shiva explained the reason of the killing of Jalandhar. Vrinda agreed, but still was in pain. She never cursed Lord Shiva. That is a fake story. NOTE THAT WHATEVER I SAID TILL NOW IS BY ME, WHO IS A DESPERATE DEVOTEE OF LORD SHIVA, THE SUPREME GOD.

There are lots of confusions going on here in the comments itself, that says we should get more knowledge on our purana. Since we had been stopped from reading any spiritual books related to our hindu culture, we have changed our mindset as what others believe is true and what Hindus believe is superstitious without actually researching on it properly but just assuming by our less school book knowledge so called basic science. But at least we are getting some exposure to the ancient texts, ancient technologies etc, we should consider to know in depth before saying it's all superstitious. And understand, nothing is practiced simply, everything we do have some reason. It could be helpful for our life now, or later, or simply won't help for our current times. But every practices have back story and benefits.

Don't say like that shivling is masculine or shiva purna purush....thats y turmeric is not offered.... Instead its a myth....more over lord shiv himself stated that he is not purna purush... He is a mixture of paursh and prakriti..... In fact that shiv is incomplete without shakti..the thing is that shiv is shakti and shakti is shiv..... More over only worshiping shiv will be incomple without worshiping Parvati...And i think ur familiar with the story of bringi rishi..
