AMAZINGLY accurate presentation. I have begged top doctors I have been going to for the past decade to tell me what’s causing the intense core pain and loss of mobility and not one has been able to tell me what’s wrong or how to help alleviate the symptoms being caused by my severe stenosis. A decade of doctors treating my symptoms without addressing the underlying cause. So I’m now back on morphine waiting for surgery. When I’ve asked the doctors about these exact muscles being affected and out of balance not one of my doctors have been able to explain this the way you have! This information has proven my assertions that the lack of knowledge from doctors that should know but don’t is causing me greater harm. I now have greater confidence in how to help myself since it’s obviously not going to come from the doctors that SHOULD know. THANK YOU!

Those doctors don't know because they don't specialise in this subject. You need a good physiotherapist, someone who's properly trained, qualified and experienced

Well finally an accurate explanation of spinal stenosis ! Over the past 3 years I have watched every youtube video available that had anything to do with spinal stenosis. I have tried physical therapy multiple times with no success. It made things worse because they are not trained in how to deal with spinal stenosis. I specifically began my own routine to strengthen my core muscles and my glute muscles. I have major improvements in my ability to function more normally again. Knees over toes guy walking backwards and couch stretch have been helpful. I also work at pulling in my "beer belly" :-) when walking and this straightens out my spine a lot. I will be looking for more of your content. Thanks!

I love this - billions of dollars of medications, injections, surgeries every year and the cure is in the amazing human body and letting it heal. Of course there will always be exceptions but I think the far majority of patients suffering would benefit from your advice. Just like how sutures might temporarily hold skin in place the real magic is the healing that the body does. I think a huge disservice is being done to patients when "physiotherapy" and "core strengthening" get thrown around as broad terms without individual advice and people don't get better and then are forced to turn to patch attempts. I am going to check out more of your videos and appreciate the high quality!

I have severe spinal stenosis. I asked my orthopedic surgeon to measure the A-P diameter of the spine at the L4-L5 level. He changed his diagnosis to "very severe spinal stenosis." Because of neuroplasticity, each of us is unique. The doctor treats the patient, not the MRI scan. Some patients have spinal stenosis on MRI but have no symptoms. Unfortunately, I have typical symptoms. I found out that Medicare covers home visits by a physical therapist for patients such as me. Spinal stenosis is a very specific problem, and physical therapy and the avoidance of aggravating positions and exercises is very important, as pointed out in this video. I will continue my physical therapy with a physical therapist who specializes in treating spinal stenosis.

I'm 67 now. I have stenosis throughout my entire spine. Neck to tail bone. Developed a drop foot on left side twenty five years ago. Have neuropathy in both feet and weak ankles. Cannot walk on anything uneven. Grass, sand etc. Balance issues. Do wear a brace. Some Drs think it's weekening my muscles. Wake up in the morning with blue black feet till I run hot water from the shower onto them while their elevated on the tile. Am running up a lot of bills for diagnosis with no cure offered. Hope your videos prov useful.

I have had five surgeries due to Spinal Stenosis. I live in screaming pain 24/7. I fell and busted the back of my head open. I was unconscious when my husband found me. Rescue took me to Shands Trauma Unit where I remained for six days because my brain was bleeding in two different places. When I came to all I could do was scream. My spinal canal is narrowing and they were scared I would die. However, I’m here but in the worst pain from my head to the curvature at the bottom of my spine. Because of my age no Neurosurgeon will touch me. This is fine because I can’t handle any surgery now but can’t I call Hospice to help me now? I’m also the caretaker of my severally ill husband. I don’t know what to do. Can you advise or just send me some idea on how to handle the pain. God bless you.

Yin yoga moving the facia the connective tissues is what will help you all. But doing it twice a day especially before you go to bed is a challenge. You need to do it if you want to get rid of your pain. Furthermore, the 3 dod bird is very good too before any exercise, especially strenuous exercises like weight get lifting or BJJ

I really hope that these channels like yours put all of the cookie cutter PT offices out of business. I've been in and out of physical therapy for 12 years due to hip/lumbar/pelvic dysfunction stemming from slipped capital femoral epiphysis when i was an adolescent. This video gave me better direction than all of my years going to random PTs whom only address symptoms, as is usual with our medical system. The medical professionals behind the youtube curve are laughable to me now and i immediately dismiss them these days.
