I was wondering if you could do a video on 3d modeling vs concept art. I really like concept art but I've also become super interested in 3d modeling. I'm curios on the differences in the gaming industry as well. Thanks Trent love your content, you've helped me tons!

So, I was taking off of art for a while in years, it's because my laptop broke and responsibilities kicked in. Got a job and started working. Now I have my own money to buy a laptop and a tablet, because i wanted to back to art and work for something. Before, I used to watch these series, I know by heart the name "Trent Kaniuga" because this is one of my favorite art youtuber that put out great videos about art in the industry. Now while I was back i searched some names on youtube some artist that i follow before a while back, and seen that their youtube last update was like about 5-6 years ago, and it made me kind of sad knowing that. But then I searched this name, and found out that Trent still makes videos TO THIS DAY... It really warmed up my heart and I was really happy that he is still making videos about art. My job right now is in IT, and i wanted to learn some programming language, so I thought while learning programming language i would like to polish my art skill. So i thought of making an indie game, would be nice, i really wanna dwelve into animation especially pixel art, and oh my god... Thank you you're still making videos sir Trent...

Beginner as in: "i don't know a thing about programing"? if that's the case, you are better off using Unreal with blueprints imo.
@jullcepts87803 ай бұрын
@@eduardobarboza9499 As a beginner myself, GDScript is fairly easy to learn as programming languages go. I've also played around Unreal and while Blueprints is simpler than C, it can become a mess of nodes on the mid or long run so it pays to be extremely organized from the beginning, probably just as much as one should be organize with coding.
@jullcepts87803 ай бұрын
@@debmalyamitra353 I really don't care about the political issues Godot found itself in thanks to a big misunderstanding with the CM and the community. The engine is pretty good. Tho I do have to say that from Godot 3 to 4 there was a huge change in things and honestly you gotta be careful now with old tutorials because they're outdated now and there's a ton. That's my main concern with it. And I rely a lot on tutorials because I'm an artist above all else so once I tried to code with ChatGPT because a bunch of local developers advised it... UUUUUUH BOY was that a bad idea XD apparently the AI was updated on the documentation for Godot 3. Not 4.
