Tehachapi is a neat town, it’s our mid point stop on our way to the coast, from Vegas. If we were to move back to California, I’d definitely consider this area.

Great information, thanks Courtney! My questions: how do you feel about safety, do you feel it’s getting worse safety/crime wise because of current inflation? Sales taxes, is there county and city taxes as well? Things to do with kids? How many schools do you have? Are there any colleges in the area? Are there places to swim summertime? What kind of grocery stores you have? Department stores? Mall? Places to eat, fast food chains? Job market for healthcare workers and overall? Cost of living overall in your opinion? Utilities cost on average? You opinion on buying house in HOA vs non-HOA community? Diversity, immigrant population in the area? Thanks 😊

Excellent video. Moved from the insanity of Los Angeles (North H/Wood) in 2018 to Stallion Springs... LOVE IT!!! (and I'm a city boy from Boston, Ma) Just a note about the CCR's in S.S. they're never really enforced. That's too bad as light pollution is increasing due to increase in exterior night lights and rules regarding exterior night lighting are not being enforced..

From personal experience, Stallion does a great job of enforcing the CC&R’s if you use their form online to let them know about specific violations. While most people don’t want to complain, the CSD is dependent on people communicating when these violations take place. Golden Hills seems like the neighborhood that would best fit our needs. Do all the homes in Golden Hills get trash pick up or is it dependent on the property?

Hi, I really love the old town feel in Tehachapi but there seem to be a lot of restrictions especially for our must haves. We are architects so we want to buy land and build our own design. Are there any areas zoned Agricultural or where we can have all of the following: some miniature farm animals and chickens? A pond with ducks, a skoolie (converted bus tiny home, RV) that we want to keep on the property (in a garage), a geodesic dome home. I would like the property to have some trees but if not, I want to plant some. Thanks in advance.
