Do we need to show work for FRQs even though the AP stats exam is online this year?
@mporinchak8 ай бұрын
I have not heard the exam is online this year. As far as I know it is still paper and pencil for all parts.

I have heard from my teacher that the ~65% you mentioned would be required for a score of 4, and something in 80s usually for a 5. could you please confirm this?
@mporinchak8 ай бұрын
it does vary from year to year. I think 80 is a little high, I would say 65-70 is a better number range to get a 5

I taught the class for the first time last year. My students did not perform as well as I would have liked. They told me that each of the 40 multiple choice problems were quite long and required a page of reading before even answering the questions. Does this sound accurate?
@mporinchak4 ай бұрын
@erichendricks4810 yes and no. The multiple choice are a lot of reading but not all 40. I’d say somewhere between 20-25 do have a short paragraph and some times even the choice are a short paragraph. The best method I have found to prepare students for this is using past AP multiple choice released questions on every test and quiz that you can. I know some teachers worry about using them since they may find them online but I say who cares. The more they see them and use them the better prepared they will be for sure. Hope that helps answer your question. The Ultimate Review Packet I made for students has a lot of practice with this as well if you want to take a look. Send me an email to helpwithapstats@gmail.com and I can send you a link to a free teacher preview of it if you want

Hey, im in 10th grade rn taking pre calc. I like math a lot so as an elective i chose ap stats for 11th grade. I was worried at first, but your video actually helped me a lot! Do you think it was a good idea to take ap stats in 11th? A lot of my friends, some of whom have taken ap stats or know people whove taken ap stats, say it's pretty easy and even easier if you like math, so I assume it's not that bad.

Taking it as an 11th grader is a great idea. At my school I even get 10th graders who take it with precalc. I would agree with your friends it can be easy if you like math. There is a lot of content but it's manageable if you stay up on it and do not get lazy. Plus you have all my videos to help. I also have an Ultimate Review Packet for AP Stats with tons of study guides and worksheets to help. Here is a link www.ultimatereviewpacket.com/courses/AP-statistics-ultimate-review-packet
