Tom Brady & the Patriots also beat KC 37-31 in OT in the 2019 AFC Championship game. The Pats escaped despite a furious Chiefs 4th quarter rally with 24 points, including a KC FG drive that started with only 0:38 on the clock to send the game to overtime.. But the Pats won the coin toss and scored a TD, so Mahomes never got the ball in OT. If KC had won the toss & scored a TD, this would the Chiefs' 6th Super Bowl in 7 years.

It was really 2 plays that kinda lost them the game. The fumble and TD recovery and that awful kick return at the end of the game. They don't do that and they win the game
