How many Americans are employed by C-Corporations versus how many have pass through (LLC, Partnership, Sub chapter s, Etc.)? The majority of C-corps used the tax cuts to increase employee pay. The statement of, it’s not fair to pass through entities, unfortunately is the reality of our capitalistic economy. Everything is a balancing act, which means to get something beneficial, another might have to lose or not get as much benefit. The pass through entities also got a small tax cut. I see only positives to both structures of business entities. I’m confused by your comment about projecting what could happen to pass through entities. You said maximum tax rate is 37% but then said with the 20% deduction, the maximum you can have applied is 30%. I’m not an accountant but you lost me there. Are you able to explain this logic a bit more? Your projections are based on 199A disappearing and individual tax brackets increasing. That seems like a worst case scenario. It also considers all else will remain the same and other tax laws wont adjust simultaneously.
