When my son was in high school he walked into a classroom and saw a female teacher being assaulted. The other teenager ran off, and my son stayed with her to make sure she was okay. The teacher pressed charges and her lawyer called our home to see if my son would testify on her behalf, if it came to that. My son said he would. Then he turned to me to explain why a lawyer was calling him. He didn't tell me about the incident until that phone call, and when he was asked to testify, he felt he couldn't say no because this kid would do it again. I was so proud to hear that he would stand on the right side of being a human.

The last photo is unsure of how it was taken, they think it was hit when she was dragging him down the hall. I was 19 years old and wanted my own airplane and my own boat and my own house and I dang well got it... I also got busted in a ring with 526 other people covering five states. Just because a childhood might happen to be bad or even downright brutal, we are still responsible for our actions . Everyone knows that it is wrong to kill someone. I knew it was wrong to traffic cocaine. I got what I deserved and got away with a whole lot more assholery that I should have done time for.

Saying “sorry” or that “I regret the things I’ve done” does not justify your actions, it will not cause what has happened to replay, instead of trying to find justice for your crime full deeds at least admit and understand that what you’ve done could’ve been avoided if you weren’t too self centered and thought of the future before acting. You deserve all the things that you get from the things that you have given first.
