Jeremy, you're right, I haven't seen chalk paint in quite a while. I was never a big fan of it anyway, so I haven't really missed it. Good meeting you and Jess the other day. - Chris

thank you!!! I didnt get the "chalk paint" thing. I did 2 projects, EXACTLY following the manufactures instructions, had to redo both after a year! Too much work.

What if you put polycyclic?

Chalk paint failed because it was high maintenance ... if you left it unwaxed it felt horrible AND got fingerprint marks. If you waxed it you had to keep waxing it and the wax is not a durable finish.

I've been waiting for this since that foolishness started.

But do you know? In China, the country with the second largest population in the world, more and more people are beginning to like chalk paint. It does not require such troublesome preparation. As you said, it does not require sanding or primer. There are many fans in China. At the same time, Chinese people in various countries around the world have also liked to use chalk paint to change their homes a long time ago. You said it is declining. Is it possible that it is because China has not yet fully exploded with heat and enthusiasm?
