Especially when the thing they were working on (net code) hasn't really notably improved and there's more stuff broken than there was a year ago. It's not a good look. COD may need more than 3 years time but XDefiant is in like year 5 or 6 of development and it's not visible improving.

I went to this test expecting nothing, and I was still disapointted. In a world of Fortnite, Warzone, Apex, OW2, CS2, Finals and countless free-to-play games, you gotta bring a lot more stakes and quality onto the table. It just scream Ubisoft's mediocrity.

This game compared to every listed game is very mediocre. It’s just a free cod multiplayer ripoff. That is because 1. Its a new game compared to every other game being out for a year or more, but 2. It’s also a basic replica of cod so the content isn’t really something new. They aren’t making a new groundbreaking shooter that is something no one has seen before. Something like Siege that was a groundbreaking new shooter no one has seen before, is a great game, but it’s honestly the only game from ubisoft that is still very relevant in my eyes this long after release.

very true, but I am assuming this is all personal experience. Because for me personally its way better. I got shot around corners in every single lobby back in the previous betas, now it only happened every so often maybe every couple - a few matches. Also back in the beta I spent more time trying to get my party to work and load matches, than playing the actual game. Now I have been getting into matches instantly and parties have no problem for me. But again I am assuming it just comes down to everyones personal experience with it

I think it was a 90% issue last year, now its gone to 50/50 of how many people are having issues. I'm in the UK running 150Mb down/ 50Mb Up, so it's still the same issues- just been minimised abit :)

I've wondered if the developers purposely didn't activate all the servers at the same time, only letting players connect to a certain few at a time to actually stress them. The community is truely toxic against these gaming companies. Sometimes it's embarrassing to be associated with them. I really believe that streamers have put an unrealistic expectation on how games play.

@@JbowenDaManYes, I had to rewatch it to explain it better so when you shoot it move the reticle slightly and the animation for the shot is delayed which makes you think you should be hitting where it’s pointing, but in reality it’s the delayed tracer for the shots.

I've been defending xdefiant these past few months but after this weekend I'm no longer able too. The most basic mechanic of a FPS which is hit detection was awful. They delayed the game for a year almost now to fix that issue and somehow it's now worse than it was

I think the stress test should have been better then what it was. If cod did a stress test and said they are working on netcode and delayed the game mainly because of that for 3-6 months and it was no better after that time people would be complaining

The problem with XDefiant for me and I’d assume some others. I don’t understand or I can’t visually gauge in-game where these entire *overhauling of already established systems* improvements are coming from. They took 6+ months to build up an entire new infrastructure for the game to not only feel the same in a lot of areas, but for some people in a lot of ways feel worse than before. *Where is all the development time going to* if I’m getting the same if not worse product? Not to mention in today’s market with your Fortnite’s, Apex’s, Halo Infinite, The finals, CSG2, and beyond. XDefiant isn’t really an impressive game even with the specialist. People are starting to really think objectively in all aspects about this game, which before the game even comes out? Yikes! XDefiant in the public reputation has lost a lot of hype and player confidence which probably will affect how many people even bother to check out the game upon full release.

The specialist abilities feel a little too unbalanced, and maybe they should tweak it or add a mode where you can choose whichever character you want but their ability is gone

Imma be honest I didn't have a good time at all. EVERY single match i played was sweaty af, and I died around corners constantly. I even literally have a clip where I went through a doorway, and died like 10-15 feet around a corner. My question is what happened to the servers and net code? It literally felt better a year ago before they "fixed" it. I understand this was a stress test, but you can't seriously say that this is acceptable. Fr they worked on this net code for a year and this is what they've got? A worse version of what they had last year? Are you serious?

Once again it's unfortunately a video game that has committed the Hero shooter crime of unbalanced heros and not enough to go around. Bf2042 made the same mistake in the beginning when they released, not enough abilities and operators and too many operators being able to do the same thing. They need to add more "hero abilities" and restrict it to only 1 player of 6 being able to use that ability. I kept getting into lobbies where every player was using Libratad with 200 health giving them God mode. They need to take the Overwatch approach that way lobbies don't get unbalanced. Other than that i had only a few issues. Grenades hitting invisible walls, not going where your aiming, bullets but registering, not getting credit for kills or assists after you unload on someone and kill them. That happened a few times and my teammate got credit so it's possible that we both were shooting at the same time she it just didn't register, but that was an issue i pointed out in stream.

Movement is still very smooth, but after playing cod for a year while this game was down would make sense to why it would feel massively different again. I still had fun with it, i tried the marksman rifles its pretty ass. I would like more variety with weapons instead of mp7 and acr spamming. Hit detection was eh at times but i agree its just a server stress test. The fire faction is a little broken especially that molotov bomb one in objective game modes. Overall i still want to see how the final release feels that will be my deciding factor

To say the netcode, hit detection, and party system is worse than how it was before is a straight up lie and seems like a lot of coping is being done. I couldn’t even load up a match sometimes for 30-40+ minutes in the previous play tests, I would get a few matches in 3 hours of playtime, full matches of my bullets not registering. Yet somehow this test is worse? Maybe for others but my experience was drastically different and I’ll continue to share it in that light. I’m 99.9% convinced if COD got pushed back a 2nd year, the whole community would just be pissed even though they all claim they want COD to get extra time to cook 💀

The recent play test is the only time I got to play this game but I been wanting to try it since like October. Game felt good especially after getting use to the movement. I wish we had kill streaks even if it’s super simple streaks like OG cod days. & I barely felt any server problems. Maybe 2-3 moments out of 3 long gaming sessions. I’m in NYC tho so prolly got great server connection over here

I didn’t have any issue bug or connection wise. The problem I have with the game is two part. The game feels too reliant on headshots for good damage. Every gun barring 2 or 3 feels like I’m hitting the enemy with marshmallows if I don’t headshot. And then there’s the cleaners. Basically required if you don’t want to rely on just head shots. The guns just didn’t feel all that good. Plus the maps (at least the ones I played on) are all kinda on the big side. Like it’s not terrible but paired with how inconsistent the guns felt… yeah not great. I’d be willing to give it another shot when it comes out but not with my own money. I’d have to see how it plays then before I get it myself. Oh and I really hate the announcer. Ended up muting it.😂😂

Some people are asking for perks and killstreaks, when I think that's the best thing about this game. It's you, your gun and your awareness in the map, pure player skill. I got interstellar camo on MW3 and stopped playing, I got tired of the constant nade/flash/stun spam and also killstreak, after killstreak, after killstreak... and perks? Everyone runs the same perks, they might as well just remove them from the game. Eod, tac mask, ninja/ghost combo. Once they iron out the issues with XDefiant, it's gonna be an awesome game. People hoping they turn this into COD are gonna be disappointed.

@@JbowenDaMan one thing I would change is to limit the number of specialist per faction in a match. I think 2 per faction would be good or if they add one more faction 1 per faction. I ran into some teams while playing occupy that had 3 or 4 libertad specialist healing constantly or phantoms running barriers while in the zone and that is annoying to play against. That's probably the only thing that needs balancing.

Problem is how long it is taking. People are annoyed. This was not supposed to be advertisement beta like CoD but it SHOULD be after all these delays. They are doing 1 short test, then half year of nothing, then another test with very little improvement, then nothing again. This title is in development so long like it was some Cyberpunk 2 with huge world, systems and storylines yet its quite simple arena shooter. If they cant get it right after all these delays they should keep beta running till release or do it every weekend and do small regular fixes every week. Not 1 short test, see ya in 6 months, another short test, nothing really changes, see ya in 6 months. If they keep this terrible pacing game will release after another X moths in almost exactly the same state.

Idk how people have any sort of hope for Cod, it's letdown after letdown, 3arc aren't gonna save Cod when the franchise itself has no soul or identity anymore. Completely cancel Warzone, close the servers and maybe Cod will get better in a few years, Cods down trend lately is because of Warzone and every MP needing the same mechanics and features as Warzone. I see Gulf War being no different at all.

@@Nitroh- MP was trash when they had no dead silence, dots on mini map, trash maps… mw3 fixed all that so I’m having a blast when I play MP rn & WZ is its own vibe that I like when I wanna switch it up. Idk if you play with friends, but friends make every game 100x more fun. I don’t play if I’m alone.

@@CPDFilms Of course, my friends don't play Cod anymore, I don't play Cod anymore I play Battlefield nowadays. But the problem with Cod is the engine, the mechanics they use etc. Just cause MW III re added things and "fixed" the game, it doesn't mean much when the base was trash anyway. Cold War was fun, Treyarch need to use that for the base for this game but apparently they aren't and being forced to use the MW engine, which is exactly the problem. Every game is the same, there is no identity and soul anymore.

@@Nitroh- the feeling of the engine seems opinion based, but you have that right to opinion. I personally love how the engine feels, super smooth and responsive imo. Cold War felt good too tho but tbh I was super busy during that period and don’t remember how I really felt bout it. IW been making complete trash tho. Games that feel like you’re forced to camp and play slow which is not true CoD imo.

I don't realy get what was wrong this time... in fact its the first time I was able to enjoy it (finally didnt die to 1 bullet while unloading 2 mags on someone), servers felt tight AF even those that I had like 60 ping on them... only fuss I had was the matchmaking time yesterday (and the overall wait times when you boot the game, between matches, etc.). Only bug I saw was the completely invisible Ghillie suit users lol, but they removed it quickly after to work on it ! Can't wait the game launches. Te be fair, if it launched now it would be in a better state that 95% of releases in the 4 last years lmao. Its not perfect, still need polishing a bit but the basics are good now.

it took me 3 games and just quit....cheaters are fuc....the game here too! so annoying trying to have fun and constantly getting tracked through walls, and enemies without any recoil, and all the same shit as COD. Xdifiante must create console vs console and PC vs PC lobbies ONLY. PC gamers cheat! It is a fact!
