For clarification, the backpack weights 620g (81L) and 650g (91L) are measured without the back foam in the pack. I leave it out because it hardly adds any comfort, it just makes the pack bulkier and harder to store in the harness compartment. Backpack weights are actually 705g and 735g with the foam. The backpack has a wonderful wearing comfort but it also has a couple of things to improve: I miss the half elliptical storage pocket like the previous models lightness backpacks to store the instrument panel, this no longer fits in the upper pocket. The helmet net is cool, but I think I’m only gonna use it while hitchhiking (car stop) to be more attractive as a person who does active sports instead of a bum person appearance, it gives more possibility that the driver will stop out of interest. (It really works!) Side pockets could be a bit higher, I put my drinking bag in here, inside the backpack seems tricky because the backpack is so compressed when it is filled that I’m scared the drinking bag might leak inside… Zipper straps are missing like the Lightpack 2, this prevents the zippers from making noise all the time while walking KLING, KLING, KLING… Does anyone know what the 4 loops on the sides of the backpack are for?

We show us packing Advance's top-of-the-range standard open seatboard harness, the SUCCESS 5, into a LIGHTPACK DLS 91L backpack (together with an EPSILON DLS 28 wing, Advance COCKPIT CARRY flight deck and other gear) both to give an idea of what fits and because some might be surprised to see that a standard open seatboard harness like this does fit into this size of backpack. This is partly because the SUCCESS 5, despite it's robust build and high protection, packs to a relatively small size, due to the clever design. flybubble.com/advance-success-5

You managed to put all this gear and equipment in the 91 litres! 😮 Would a 83 litres be enough for a smaller wing (21 m2) and a similar harness? Most important, do you think that packing all this is not going to wear out the backpack very quickly, in other words, what is the expected durability of the material? Thanks!

In Advance's range of harnesses, the model which is really the best fit (size and shape) for the LIGHTPACK DLS backpacks is the LIGHTNESS 3 semi-light pod harness ( flybubble.com/advance-lightness-3). Which size backpack fits best depends on the harness size, other gear, packing technique, patience and personal preferences.

Not surprisingly, Advance's lighter and more compact mid-range standard open seatboard harness, the AXESS 5 ( flybubble.com/advance-axess-5 ), fits in the LIGHTPACK DLS 91L too. However if a pilot prefers an easier fit, with more space for other gear, they should look for a slightly larger backpack e.g. the Advance COMFORTPACK 4, which comes in sizes 100L, 115L, 130L and 145L ( flybubble.com/advance-comfortpack-4 ). Most pilots who buy an AXESS 5 or SUCCESS 5 will prefer to go for an Advance COMFORTPACK 4 in size 100L or 115L, depending on the harness size, their other gear and personal preferences. Is there a mistake at 3:13 ? If I hear correctly (I’m not English native) it says the DLS hasn’t extra features like large shoulder straps etc. But this is about the ULS isn’t it? DLS has the extra features but not the ULS? Thanks for all your nice reviews and videos.

No mistake, the lighter and smaller ULS backpacks have the extra features because it's more likely pilots might want to jog or run with them, as explained in the video. With good packing, should fit fine in an Advance Lightpack DLS 81L and easily in a 91L. flybubble.com/bags/paragliding-backpacks
