Some suggestions for the patrion: £1. Give you a thank you. £5. Still a thank you but if you keep it up for at least 12 month you will receive 1 xmas card from the hat crew. (Can be automated.) £20. A sticker notification on a office wall. £50 a mantioning in the video with in the credits. £100 your name will be linked to a item with in the office that is off importance for a video. £150.000.000 a date with Trott.

The most successful patreons I've seen, when the creators already produce a lot of content anyway, always have a £2 or 3 pound tier where you aren't offered anything but supporting content already being created. I would become a patreon in that tier and would be happy knowing it just goes to helping you produce content and make occasional vlogs, I feel like a lot of people would also be happy to do that and would free you lot from the burden of fulfilling complicated and time heavy patreon rewards that dilutes your video content.

You might look over at some of the Patreon stuff and the tiers that Phil Defranco does. He's getting a lot of support on his and the stuff he's giving to his subs there is nice and top notch. Doing a lot of town halls with subs, then doing things like limited posters and mugs. You'd of course have to get with Mike to merch all that stuff for you. Poor Mike, I feel like I'm making more work for him. But as always, we'll support you lads whatever the case may be.

Good things I've seen other content creators doing on Patreon is stuff like tutorials - talk us through the creation of a video from start to finish, or how to use AfterEffects, that sort of thing - and 'thanks' in the form of a list of patrons in the video description as a mini-shout out. Very high-tier donors (say, £20 or more a month) might get a verbal shoutout in the video itself, or access to PUBG or GTA livestreams - which I suppose you already do with Twitch subscribers.

Personally, I like the idea of a Patreon account. I live in Australia and can never watch your streams because they start at 1:00am Friday morning and I have a full-time job that has me working from Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. I miss a lot of quality content in your streams and a lot of the banter that we all love. It upset me a bit (even though I know it was tongue-in-cheek) to be called a fan-lite because of where I live and my work situation, especially since I've been subbed to you guys since your early Minecraft days and have watched every video daily as you upload them. I love your content and know that with more money, it will only get better. You have a very real respect for your fans and I know you won't disappoint us. My only request is this: if you do start a Patreon, make the lowest payment value quite small. I think you will find more people will support you if it is a small amount. Better to get a little bit of something than a lot of nothing. Keep up the great work guys! We all look forward to more great content! (Also, shoutout to Craig, who has taken a lot of pressure off the boys and allowed them to focus more on their content rather than filming and editing.)

Instead of offering rewards, you should use the extra money to hire editors. These editors will help ease the workload, and you guys can do some cinematic series! Basically, I just want Stunt Lads back. Another channel, Neebs Gaming, are doing this exact thing and so far it works for them. It's worth a shot So basically, instead of rewards, guarantee us that the money will go towards higher quality content. That should be incentive enough for us viewers

Would totally support a patreon, especially since you guys have already been providing free high quality content for years. Maybe have a tier for watching certain videos a day early or something. Or have a higher tier where people who donate to it can suggest a game for you guys to play, and randomly choose one to do? Honestly even if tiers didnt exist I love the current balance of vlogs and playthrough and that's good enough.

Wouldn't two 1080ti's in SLI be very inefficient cost-wise? I was looking at performance charts for the 1080ti's in two way, three way, and four way SLI as compared to using just one 1080ti, and, the performance increase was abysmal considering its performance to cost ratio when in SLI.
@d2factotum7 жыл бұрын
It would depend what you're using the cards for. Yes, for playing games it probably won't make much of a difference, but for stuff like video creation that can make use of every CUDA core you can throw at it, it's worth it.

If you want honest feedback on the patreon there are quite a few good examples online you can learn from from Philip Defranco to The Great War Show. I just thought I'd throw you my 2 cents: 1. Definitely plan everything out before the launch, because it is hard to roll out new perks afterwards as most people will just watch the patreon announcement video to decide if they want to donate. 2. It would be a good idea to have continuing physical perks that add value to each tier (like a new shirt or a sticker every three months). That way you do not lock off content behind a pay wall. You could even make these designs exclusive as an added intensive to join the patreon. Of course keep the bottom 1-5 dollar tier open for those to donate who do not want perks. 3. If you do want to lock content behind the pay wall, please chose something like "Behind the Scenes" that real fans will be willing to pay for, but will not take a lot of time and work away from the channel content. 4. Even if you think some reward tiers are too high, make them. There are crazy hatters out there who have a bit of spare income to throw your way if it means more video goodness.

People love art but hate paying for it. It's a fair trade guys. You want more art/well done art... and when the artist *asks* for you to become a Patron- you freak. Why? Patreon will guarantee a budget per month. AND you as a Patron have the option on how much you're willing to spend per month! You won't get charged more then you want to. You only want to give $1 per month only once. Done! Having a set budget helps you plan for things. Budgets are a GOOD thing to have- they're necessary. Please start one Guys! I will gladly pay you for you art per month. I trust you and the quality of your work. I also trust that you won't abuse it and "thing" every little video. A couple of things I've enjoyed from artists I support are one time signed things like a poster or post card. Also, people seem to love mugs. Just putting that out there. All the best Hat Films!!
