Pretty off on the Bale take. He was plagued with injuries which didn’t help form, but Zidane in 2018 just stopped playing him. The reason he stayed was because Zidane left, but when Zidane came back then Bale was sidelined again and not used at all. Having been ignored repeatedly and accused by the fans of taking money unfairly (as in being paid by the contract Real gave him) he then gave up on trying to look like he cared and that’s when the golf wales banner appeared. This was after him having a deal set up to move to China, which was vetoed by Madrid only for Zidane not to even use him. Hard not to get irritated with that
