The guy that vomited is the producer lol. He was also the oracle in Booooooring. As for that song that seems more like a compilation, they probably made it to be as crazy as they could after their Hellokitty song (not actually sponsored) went viral and they started to embrace the crazy and meme side of their music. It was also kind of like a graduation song since it was the last episode of the show they were on. And eventually 3 of the original 9 girls left the group so they'll never do this song that way again, maybe ever. They're pretty self aware since that song has the lyrics "our producer is crazy" in the chorus and the 3rd part had the girls singing about how they'll only go forward and further with the weirdness in their music. You should definitely check out their new EP that has another 2 new songs, plus an intro. Kazinho will also be annoyed to learn that the official fandom name for babyMINT is B.I.U 😂 Stands for Be Infinite and Unafraid.

Indeed, there are no detuned penny flutes on the recent EP, but I think you need to get the cd or go to Spotify to hear it. Thanks for the in-depth reaction. I have no idea what the competition show was about last year, but I'm pretty sure the group and their producers were pretty much taking the piss on such music competitions for each of their numbers on that show. babyMINT seems to be carving a niche for themselves with a group concept of parodying pop-culture and the tropes of pop-music. And so I think there may be a there there. The producers do seem to explore way more chromatism and intentional monotony than most groups, and, like the serial music of the early 20th century, it's hard to make that interesting at all, let alone popular. Nevertheless, it is remarkable that they are exploring that direction at all and doing so with a sense of humor. Thus they are group I will keep my ear on.
