People think Pep is an excellent coach. For me, no. Sure what he did with Barca was incredible but bear in mind the squad consisted of players at their prime like Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Puyol, Eto’o, Henry, Alves, Pedro, Valdes etc. We all saw what happened when he was given a team like Bayern, he bottled at the champions league and destroyed our club. The only good thing he did was bringing Thiago to Bayern. So what I can say is Pep is basically a manager based on a strong squad and not the type that rebuilds/reforms the squad in every aspect. The best example is his time right now in City. He has a lot of financial support yet he still can’t build the perfect squad.
