I did that and they turned me in to a collection agency. 20 years later I got a call from some dude with a middle eastern accent trying to bully me out of $120. I said that I didn't want anything bad to happen to me so I asked for instructions on where I should send the money. He gave me the info. I said I will send it today. Hung up and never gave it a second thought.

Dog groomer here. Please don’t shave your double coated dogs. They don’t love it. The double coat helps them insulate cool and hot air. If you don’t want shedding, don’t get a dog. Additionally double coated dogs are at higher risk of overheating because they can’t regulate their body temp after you shave them. It can also make them develop alopecia because it messes up their coat. As a dog groomer I’ve very much had it with people that have dogs and hate the shedding and want to shave their double coated breeds 😂

I used to write obits in the newspaper of a mid size city (Louisville KY) - In the late 90s. Back then, obits weren’t paid ads like they are now but we’re done as a courtesy by the newsroom’s news clerks. - and for anyone who died under 60, it was required that the funeral homes (who called in the obits) reported cause of death that would then be included in the obits …
@johnkennnedy856510 ай бұрын
I think it should be illegal not to put the cause of death in an obituary - and there should be a follow up when the toxicology reports are completed

Hey girls, I was paying on a gym membership forever. Best way to get out of it, cancel that credit card it’s on. I had it coming out of my debit card. The gym said I had to write a letter to the company that was in TX. I’m in PA. It was freaking annoying. This was yrs ago now. But I just went to my bank, canceled that debit card and got a new one. Done. Yes, they make it impossible to quit. Somehow I ended up on some shipping payment plan for ELF after I ordered something. Here, they started to charge me $12 a month. No idea what the deal was. I canceled that card too. I have no idea what that subscription plan was. Don’t recall signing up for it either. These happened a number of years ago.

I have a husband that was oldest,a brother that was oldest and my son. I thought we all were treated the same and we treated our kids the same but even if you think that many do set out to be super mom or dad with the first, including having 20 times more photos or vids of the first compared to 3rd or 6th. Then you wonder why child 4 may have a clean apartment while at 26, child 1 has not done last week's dishes at his/ her place.

Totally with Pumps about the DMV. I often wonder if the employees are trained to be rude or do they gradually evolve into miserable public service workers. Remember the old lady who worked at the DMV in “License to Drive” when she says “Don’t Fxxx with the Dept of Motor Vehicles” as she informs Corey Haines that he failed his driving exam? She is textbook DMV employee material.

I've had it with the police agencies who spend the first 10 minutes of any press conference where they have found the body of a missing woman, child, or person from a marginalized community praising their phenomenal search and discovery (never a rescue). They thank the other agencies for all their hard work when it was community volunteers, family and friends who went ABOVE AND BEYOND to find their missing loved ones. Then you find out that warnings about the killer went ignored for years and families, especially those from marginalized communities, have to enlist their church and hire PIs. Police agencies rarely ever STOP anything before hand. Judges let career criminals who look like them free over and over. Police agencies no longer police the community. They pick the person they like least or who has called them names and do everything they can to prove those people guilty of a crime. This most recent missing little blond girl ( the kind they like to show on TV) who went missing with her dad's Nazi friend who should have been in jail is beyond despicable. I could go on but I will save it for later.

Usually, I agree with your rants but this time I have to differ. I used to go to the DMV, and you had to wait in a long line, and it felt disorganized, and it bothered me. Like why was it so difficult. Then I went a week ago in person to pay for my car registration and they now have it completely organized! You can walk left for "no appointment" or right for "has appointment". There is a guy at the door with a computer who gives you a number and then I only had to sit and wait for ten minutes for my number to be called. The woman cashier was friendly even. I had to compliment her on their new system which is new because a couple of years ago I was there, and it was a mess. This is in Santa Cruz, California. I am now a fan of the DMV because they were willing to change!

I have had mixed experiences. Made an appointment four months in advance, stood outside in a line of people for over an hour, went in JUST to renew my license during the pandemic, and the lady yelled at me, said they didn't do that at that location, and I would have to go into the city, and acted as if I should have known that! 🙄 Months later, went into the DMV in the city and it was a lovely time, they even waived the test!
