Yeah, there's no way in hell I'd trade anyone on our team other than picks.. and if we absolutely had to. Then Myles, but that sucks too. Cam Johnson isn't better than Mathurin even now. I don't even like him over Nesmith as a fit, or Obi. So, other than a couple picks. I'm not doing it. Plus I'd want Day'Ron Sharpe. If they took Myles Turner. We'd need to flip him to a team like the Lakers. Because Nets don't need Turner. You maybe give them a 2028 Top 10 protected. Get a Lakers 2029 1st for Turner. Then you could afford to throw out another protected 1st in 29'.. but as far as them asking for our young #6 and #7 picks in the draft.. they must be smacked out of their minds. I'd scoff at that bs. What's funny is how many time's it seamed feasible to move Myles. However now, even though he's playing the exact same way. He's suddenly more valuable than he ever was. Simply because of our team style and need to keep it that way. While there isn't any other defensive stretch bigs out there. Who are also a quick knockdown shooter. I'm not surprised at all by the number he asked. I figured he'd want close to what Hartenstein got. I definitely wouldn't go any higher. If you could start off less in the first year's. Even 27 to 28 would be reasonable without trying to insult him. Only because we want to keep this team together. By the time Pascal's contract ages a bit. Myles goes up, you can begin to later figure out who you want to move. My biggest focus would be to resign Ben Mathurin for sure. But I'd like to see Myles stay. I'd still be down to throw 3 2nds at Day'Ron Sharpe right now.

This is the best and grittiest reality check, thanks Tony. Keep it up, you're the people's choice, most realistic and not ridiculous takes. Pacers and fans deserve a real insider that represents the reality of the team. All the big media outlets favor the markets they are located in, hence why ESPN refuses to talk as indepth about ANY of the other teams, so please keep it coming!

regarding your names at the end of possible trades, "not playing well this year" may be a buy-low opportunity, which is what the Pacers have to do. "playing well," as in Cam Johnson, may be buying high, and the risk is he doesn't fit that well, especially on defense which Carlisle has shown that he's rightfully picky about.

Myles Turner has been a huge foundation to the success and respect of The Pacers team in the past few seasons. He's been mentioned in trade rumors for years, but he has proven to be worthy of a fair contract based on his leadership and consistent production.

What I can't begin to understand. Is why they haven't went after Day'Ron Sharpe already. Yeah, we have Bryant.. So what, we need Day'Ron even more. 🙇 Why not go get him.. The obvious best, smart move out there.. BTW I'm the guy that wanted them to draft Jaylen Wells, GG Jackson, Keshad Johnson and Jamal Shead this year. As well as other good draft players and FA signings in the past. I think I know good talent when I see it. I'll also be pissed if they botch this year's draft. If it were me. I'd try to get another mid to late 1st. Or two earlier 2nds. A lot of solid guy's in those ranges. Fleming, Miles Byrd, Danny Wolf, Thiero, Ian Jackson, Nique Clifford, Kam Jones, Joson Sanon, Jase Richardson, Boogie Fland, Dink Pate, Drake Powell, Isaiah Evans, Jamir Watkins, Jevon Small, Walter Clayton Jr., Carter Bryant, Saint Thomas, Tyrese Proctor, Donnie Freeman, Koby Brea, Maxime Raynaud, MacKenzie Mgbako, Tomislav Ivisic, Taylor Bol Bowen, Eric Dixon, Tahaad Pettiford, Bogoljub Marković. All of my favorite projected possible 20-30's and up.

Unfortunately, most likely Pacer to be traded is Mathurin. Won't be able to pay him in the future, especially if Turner is resigned. Can't pay both with the other contracts on the books. Also, the team's strategy on Turner completely changed when both Jackson and Wiseman tore their achilles. One of those was going to be Turner's replacement...

Are we trying win the East or build for the future? Or both? What teams need a C now to win it all? What team has assets to give the Pacers? Forget Cam Johnson, last game on the floor holding his knee, we have a ton of good wings and it would look stupid if we started losing if the Pacers make a trade with the Nets. Turner has been very loyal to the Pacers and is having maybe his best year, but time goes on. So how about Chet Holmgren and 2 of those OKC first round picks?

Tate would be a good get. He lost minutes but he's a dawg. I would not trade Mathurin. Never. He's a slow learner but Math is the kind of guy who'll come back and average 25ppg for a non-playoff team or 20PPGG for a rival / contender down the line... don't do it. Using a 2nd round pick, Neismith and one of the injured centers could get us back another strong center or forward. Chemistry of the team is good. Toppin accepts his role off the bench and looks happy. I think Neismith and Math are going to fight for minutes. I think we all know who has the higher ceiling... I will add Walker to my commentary. Don't trade your first rounders. Ever. There's a reason why you picked them. You thought they were special and fit your team. Keep Walker and Math long term. Work with Math. work on the psychology, thinking the game, answering the reporters, work with him. We would regret trading him long term I'm sure of it.

Pacers system is not easy to learn, trades should only happen in the off-season... I came to the fanbase with #Pascal #Siakam and it took a full off-season for him and the coaches to learn how to embrace all his skills.. Young players need time to develop and produce ahem Jarace Walker... I'm fine with no trades..

I wouldn't trade for anone whyo didn't have All Star caliber qualities and if I'm being honest, alot of our guys are that caliber, the league's labeling and financials as related to media are a poison imo. It's created all this nonsense and impatience within fanbases. I want to win a chip too, but I also want to win it the right way with a real team. I will never like Boaton, but they showed what a real organized and uncluttered sense of reality about the game has led to them winning again with a young group who will be there for a while and be at the top. MArkets asise, It's time to stop using the small markey excuse and be a real organized team and I believe we are doing that. We don't need a smoke screen placebo solution to a problem we DONT have, currently. If anything, the front office can do better about draft ASSETS, ESPECIALLY OUR 2ND ROUND PICKS. That due diligence is why the Rockets are the Rockets rn, and the Grizzlies have all those young players and guys that have been overlooked. I don't kknow why we traded those picks to Denver for guys who never had a chance at making the roster, instead of having Strawther and Watson, 2 guys WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE. but no we got Mojave King and Isiaih Wong, both can ball, but there was never a real chance, that's a waste if you ask me; not the first or only glaring Pritchard credential, but he's also made some solid moves as well. Presti isnt making any bad moves, just as a comp.
